"Sarah was so accommodating to us and made our first trip to Italy so much easier than it would have been since we speak no Italian. The night we arrived they were celebrating a 2nd birthday of a niece and we got to experience what a joy it is in an Italian family. Lots of food, wine and laughter.
The home is so beautiful and quiet. We too were thankful that we did not stay in the over crowded and busy Cinque Terre area. One long day of it and we gratefully came back to the villa and cooked our own meals or ate at the wonderful restaurant just down the hill. We read all day and enjoyed the beautiful countryside with the vineyards as a backdrop."

"Wow! We had a wonderful stay at Villa Valentina! It is beautifully tucked in the hillside of Levanto away from the hustle and bustle of Cinque Terre. We stayed in The Gardenia that connected to the villa next door, and it was one of the best equipped and immaculate homes we've rented in our travels abroad. Paula, Angelo and their daughters welcomed us with such warmth and kindness - fresh eggs and warm pastries in the morning, delicious anchovies (Angelo's specialty), chilled Proseco on arrival, making restaurant reservations, and great recommendations for hiking and access to Cinque Terre. Our only regret was missing Angelo's boat cruise due to rough seas! We hope to return again one day soon!"

"I read the reviews posted by others, so I knew before getting to Framura that this was going to be good; it was great. Lilia was so nice and inviting in her responses to my inquiries. She and Quido are so nice. The farm and the apartments are lovely. The apartment, one of six in a separate building from the farmhouse, is spacious, modern and very large. It would be fine for an extended stay. The hilly terrain is beautiful. Since we did not have a car, my only concern was about getting to the trains and back. Just as they said, they were happy to drop us off and arrange pickups. A few times they drove us to a village called Costa and we walked down to the train station or bike trail in Framura. This was a wonderful downhill walk that takes about 40 minutes and is very scenic. After travels to the Cinque Terre or Portofino, we would take the train back to Deiva Marina and call them. They would pick us up a local bar (Bar Serena), where we came to feel like regulars. Don't pass up the opportunity to have Lilia cook for you. The entrees she prepared were the equal of a fine restaurants. After full days of activity touring, hiking or biking, returning to the farm and apartment was perfect. What a nice counterpoint to the crowded Cinque Terre and the hustle-bustle of Rome and Florence. Lilia and Quido, thank you for your hospitality and a memorable stay in Framura. We wish you continued success with this fine example of agro-tourism."

"Their apartment, Mimosa, was not available so we stayed in another one they have, Ginestra. Everything about it was just what we needed. The apartment is on the ground floor, fully equipped and comfortable with a sofa bed in the living area that is quite comfortable. We could sit at a table right outside our front door and enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. A bakery/produce/convenience store is right across the street with friendly people. We stopped in to say good-bye to them when we left, even though we don't speak Italian and they don't speak English. Cristina and Franco are extremely friendly and helpful. They offer a breakfast in their dining room that is reasonably priced, quite good and more satisfying if you prefer a breakfast with meat and eggs. We liked being away from the frenzy of Cinque Terra. It's a quick and easy train ride away, and we were able to park our rental car for free on their property and leave it there for our whole stay. We ate two delicious dinners in Dieva Marina, both places recommended by Cristina. She gave us a map showing the various things in the village we might want to do. We would love to go back and stay there again. Next time we might want to come in a slightly warmer time so we could take advantage of the seaside accommodations they offer, such as beach chairs and umbrellas. We enjoyed walking along the beach and having a drink nearby."
