  • Nice appartement

"Nice appartment not far from Milan. Nearby a shopping centre. To go to to the centre of Milan it is easy to go by car to subway station Molino Dorino (cheap parking). Nice and helpfull owner."

  • Perfect location

"We had a lovely stay in Maddalena house in Varenna , the position is woncerful in Varenna center, we enjoyed visiting many of the towns and villas around Lake Como as well as Varenna itself , but we are so pleased we have chosen varenna. Maddalena house is a great place to stay, it has everything we need and it is very comfortable and spacious. We very much hope to come back again."

  • Great Place to Stay

"We stayed here in August 2014 with two adults and three teenagers. It was perfect for us. The extra space and kitchen made it easy for the kids to spread out and for us to cook breakfast and late night snacks. The apartment is as advertised. We would definitely stay there again. The owners and managers were very easy to work with. There is a small deli in San Giovanni that has breads, meat, excellent cheeses, coffee, etc and we went there daily. The apartment is located in the middle of a beautiful park. There is not a view of the lake, but after seeing views all day we were fine with that. There are a few ways to get to Bellagio. Many people walk the road from San Giovanni to Bellagio, but we only did it once as the road is very busy with cars. You can walk part of the way through a less busy road next to one of the villas, but you still have to walk a part of it on the main road. We had a rental car, so used that and dealt with the parking situation in Bellagio, which is very difficult in Summer. There is also a bus and a little tourist trolley, but we never waited for those and I think the trolley was 5 euros each which was a bit much for us to just get to an from Bellagio. You can also take the ferry from San Giovanni to Bellagio, but that is infrequent so is difficult to rely on. There is also easy access to the beach at San Giovanni which was fairly crowded on nice days. Overall, we really liked this place and recommend it."
