  • Apartment in heart of Verona

"My husband and I spent 6 glorious days in Verona in this apartment in early October. We loved its location as it is close to everything the city has to offer, being right in the heart of Verona. The apartment itself is very private and although it looks onto the street , being on the 4th floor it remains above the surrounding buildings ,above the bussle of the street and overlooking the rooftops- a view which I love . From the windows one can also see part of the Arena of Verona. We loved returning each day to this apartment- it was very comfortable ,cheery and light and it felt like ' a home away from home' . I think we only ate dinner/ lunch once or twice there as there are so many bistros/ trattorias and restaurants to choose from , but the kitchen is well supplied with utensils etc if one decides to eat ' at home' The bedroom is roomy , although the matterass on the large double bed was too hard for me. This apartment has been one of my favourites during our 6 weeks trip to Italy and when I return to Verona next year I will definitely stay there again ."

  • Great location, value and more

"Finding apartments near the central city of Florence for two day rentals is not easy. This Florent property checked all our our boxes. It was clean, modern, tastefully decorated steps away from excellent restaurants and just a few blocks walk from the major sights of Florence. Parking (uncovered) was close-by but did require a bit of a hike. Given cars without permits are not allowed in neighborhoods near the center city this was not a distraction but rather a plus. Paolo Vergoni, the property manager, was a delight to work with providing every assistance we needed. We do not hesitate to give this property high marks and would be very happy to use it on future stays in Florence. A great value for its location and amenities. Our apartment was located on the second floor and, like most properties in this very old city, there was no elevator. With all the walking required to see Florence, this is not a problem."

  • A Wonderful Experience

"What a wonderful experience! We loved this apartment. There is a strong feeling of being in a neighborhood, but the location is still close enough to easily reach the historical sites. The farmer's market, bakery, butcher shop, cafes and gelateria are only a block away. The metro, bus stop and taxi stand are just a short walk from the apartment. The apartment is spacious, clean and safe. We really enjoyed having the kitchen and using the clothes washer. I've been to Rome before and always stayed in hotels. This was by far the best experience. Kudos to Alex and Massimo for making our trip plans so easy to manage. They were so prompt in responding, arranged a private car service to pick us up at the airport. Free wifi is available in the apartment. Just an all-round great time!"

  • Perfect place to stay and explore Tuscany!!

"We shared both villas with friends of ours from France. The accommodations worked out well for 2 families totaling 9 people. We used the kitchen twice and made dinner at home. The rooms were clean and the pool was perfect after a long day of exploring. Acqui was a great host and the kids loved him greeting us each day. Our last night there Gerardo helped us make pizzas in his outdoor pizza oven. It was a perfect end to a perfect week in Tuscany. We also enjoyed the pizza place in Radicondolli and listening to the street band. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us. Mick & Kristin Bain"

The cities on the plains surrounding Milan are known for their art. Further north, the scenic beauty of the Alps and many lakes inspire and invite exploration. And if you're looking to experience the tranquility of the north Italian lakes, you can book a rental home on Lake Como, Maggiore, Garda or Lugano.

Travel to and Around Lombardy, Italy

Milan has four airports serving both international and regional carriers. The four airports are Milan Bergamo, Milan Brescia, Milan Malpensa, and Milan Linate. Getting around Lombardy is quick, affordable and convenient. Car hire is available but unnecessary unless you plan to visit more remote areas of Lombardy. It's much easier to simply use the public transport network. Many people staying in Lombardy, Italy accommodations tour the region by bike. This is a fantastic way to explore especially the lake and mountain areas in the summertime, although a good level of fitness is required.

With a rich art heritage, art and culture enthusiasts can browse the many galleries and visit the art cities on the lakes and plains near Milan. The cathedrals and displays of ancient architecture are impressive, and the cobbled streets and quaint houses in the smaller towns make you feel as though you have stepped back in time.

Bergamo is a town in the northern part of Lombardy that is a popular weekend getaway destination. Located at the foothills of the Alps and near Lake Como the town is split into two distinct sections. Bergamo Alta can be found on the upper hillside and is the older more traditional part of town. Bergamo Bassa is at a lower level and where the newer developments can be found. The town is the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy the many outdoor attractions that the region has to offer. You can hire boats and kayaks and enjoy leisurely days sailing or paddling the lakes. Alternatively, you can cycle or hike up the many paths in the Alps and enjoy the clear mountain air.

Many Lombardy, Italy villas can be found on the lake shores. The natural beauty of the area and peaceful atmosphere lends itself to relaxation.
