Lunch, or pranzo, is often the main meal of the day and may consist of a starter (antipasto), followed by a primo piatto which will usually be a pasta, rice dish or soup. To finish the mean, Italians will have an espresso or maybe an amaro or grappa, both of which are strong digestive liqueurs. Cena is Italian for dinner and similar to lunch.
