  • Great place for exploring Tuscany

"My husband, grandson, and I spent 6 wonderful nights at Le Macine. We enjoy self-catering and always try to stay in an area that offers a look at how the local people live. The house is just as depicted with everything needed for the perfect stay in Tuscany. The house is spacious and is a great place for families traveling with children or teenagers. We especially enjoyed the gardens full of flowering plants and patio where we had breakfast, dinner and a glass of wine each day. Lucca is just a few minutes drive and convenient to Florence, Pisa and other major sites. Our grandson even got to through a line in the brook behind the house. We enjoyed driving around the back rounds close to the house and seeing the Tuscany not usually experienced from the autostrada. Cristina and her father were gracious hosts, even providing a welcome pack of goodies when we arrived. Thank you for your hospitality."

  • Perfect Spot

"Sometimes you just never know what you might find. Especially when you're locating accommdations on the internet and aren't familiar with the city. In this case, the city was Firenze (Florence) and I wasn't quite sure the layout, etc. Well, I couldn't have found a more perfect location for a short term apartment. Centrally located, just minutes from Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi, Piti Palace, Boboli Gardens... Great supermarket near Ponte Vecchio, great restaurants and of course, gelato on every corner! The space was perfect... we were there during a heat wave of 95F degree days.. the apartment was naturally cool and refreshing, all the amenities we could want, and wifi to keep us connected and sharing our great experiences with friends and family. A ground floor unit, with just a few steps to reach it.. a short flight of steps inside to reach the lofted bedroom with a window overlooking a courtyard. With Firenze at your fingertips, it'd be hard to stay inside much, be when you do, it's a comfortable place to call home during your exploration of the city. I'd rent it again in a heartbeat and encourage/refer my friends to do the same! Grazie for a wonderful stay!"

  • Favourite stay in Italy

"The pictures do not do this apartment justice. From the moment you walk in the lobby you are left with a fabulous impression. The location of this apartment, really just cannot be beat. You can almost touch the ponte vecchio, you are so close to the restaurants and shops, and a 1min walk to a huge supermarket, full of everything you could need. The rooms are gorgeous including the living area, but the view... The view is just spectacular. It truly is jaw-dropping and we loved just watching the goings on on the river Arno. The rooms and baths were both a great size. The views as shown in the pictures from the bedroom and the living area are exactly as pictured. Incredible! Gabriele, the owner, was amazing to deal with, super friendly and full of good advice. We highly recommend a trip up to Piazalle Michelangelo for the most gorgeous view of Florence, if you're up for the climb to the top of the Duomo that's a gorgeous view too! The David is amazing and the best gelato is 2 bridges away, Ponte Alla Carraia, same side of the river... Amazing!! Do not hesitate to book this apartment!!"
