  • Beautiful, first class apartment

"I can't say enough good things about this apartment. It is spacious, beautiful, well decorated, comfortable with first class amenities. It was a pleasure to stay there and a welcome retreat after a full day of sightseeing and walking around. It even has English speaking videos for those down times when you want to relax watching TV but do not speak Italian. The location is ideal. You are within a short walking distance of all the majors sights, yet it is in a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds. Dealing with the owner was a breeze. I would highly recommend staying there. You won't be disappointed."

  • Everything I was looking for!

"Three couples from the U.S., traveling Italy together...and this place was perfect for the 6 of us! We were able to walk from SMN train station...which was one of the reasons I chose this apt. You can walk to just about everything in Florence from here... the location is excellent. If mobility is an issue for you...keep in mind, there is a flight of stairs you will have to climb with you luggage. The elevator stops on the 2nd floor...and the apartment is 1 floor above that. The 6 of us are in our mid 50's to mid 60's...and this was not a hardship for us. The only negative I can think of, is there is no clothes dryer...which is not that big a deal...but your clothes will come out of the washer very wrinkled. There is an iron in the apt and a folding rack for drying. We felt very safe here...with the huge locked door on the street level...and the locked gate on the apartment level. The apartment is exactly as depicted on VRBO. All and all....I loved this apartment and would recommend it highly! Thank you, Donatella. Sandy, Gary, Rachel, Ruben, Darline and Rusty"

  • Nice apartment in perfect location

"My husband and I spent ten nights in this apartment and had a wonderful time. This is really in a perfect location for sightseeing. It is close enough to easily walk to all the sights of Florence, and yet it is on a quieter street away from the crowds of the most "touristy" areas. This apartment is very quiet since it is in the back of the building. It has nice hardwood floors, a beautiful view, a comfortable bed, and a very small but quite well-equipped kitchen. It was clean and bright. The A/C and wifi both worked well. (Keep your window screens closed in Florence or mosquitoes will come in.) There is a book in the apartment with lots of information about neighborhood services and restaurant recommendations, which we found very helpful. There is a wonderful farmers' market very close by. We had so much fun eating out in Florence that we never cooked in the apartment, but it was nice to have a small refrigerator for snacks and leftovers. The neighborhood and building are extremely safe and secure. We enjoy walking and had no trouble walking to the train station from the apartment to visit other towns (we took day trips to Pisa, Siena, and Arezzo). The apartment is best for two people; although it has a pull-out sofa, I think it might be a bit tight for four people. For seating, there is a sofa sized for two people and two dining chairs. There are a lot of stairs to climb to reach the apartment, and the spiral staircase to the bedroom is fairly steep and narrow, so this would not be suitable for some people. We have rented apartments before, and the communication with this owner/manager was the best we have experienced. All emails were answered promptly, everything was handled professionally, and Liana speaks perfect English. There were people in the building who could help if we had any questions or problems. I would rent this again."
