Recent Firenze (Florence) Province reviews

  • Excellent Apartment!

"My wife and I stayed with our 2 children in March 2015. We absolutely give this apartment a 5 Star rating! The apt. is well furnished, very clean and has plenty of charm. The beds are comfy and well appointed. The terrace is breathtaking, you can almost reach out and touch the Duomo! Daniela is a gracious host. She provided us with complete instructions on operating everything in the apt. We couldn't have asked for a better stay in Florence. I would highly recommend this beautiful apartment!"

  • Great place, great location

"The apartment is wonderful - definitely enough space for the three of us. It was clean and had everything we needed. The greeter was soooo kind and wonderful during our stay. The location is on a quiet corner, which has a nice cafe across the street for coffee in the morning. We would definitely recommend going to the farmers market on Tuesday - its an easy walk from the apartment. Grocery stores are a bit of a hike and not all that great. There is a decent eco-friendly grocery and product store called Natura C but it is a cab ride away (it doesn't have a lot of veggies or fruit). If you want the best pizza in Italy go to Pizzeria Santa Lucia, which is a 15-20 minute walk from the apartment but well worth it."

  • Casa San Vito. . . a lovely Tuscan villa

"My family (4 adults and 2 children, 8 and 9) spent a lovely 5 days in this beautifully decorated and outfitted house on a Tuscan hilltop. The owner Francesco went out of his way to greet us, teach us how the house and its appliances worked, and give us information on nearby towns and the #37 bus to Florence. (15 min drive and 45 min bus trip.) You definitely need a car, which you can then drive to several nearby towns: San Casino, San Gimignano, Volterra, Colle, Tavernelle, Sienna. There were also several wineries nearby and our kids loved walking through the olive tree orchards, past vineyards and ran and rolled down a wide expanse of grassy hillside. Lisa and Pat of ItalyPerfect were terrific in arranging our visit; they were helpful to the last detail and always reachable...both before and during our visit."
