  • Great Rental - No need to Worry

"This was my first time using HomeAway and therefore even though I had read all the reviews of the places that my family and I were staying, I was very skeptical. The beautiful thing about this apartment was the fact that the owners would answer my emails immediately and provide helpful hints. There were 5 of us so finding an affordable apartment in Italy was a challenge, however this is were this apartment and owners shined. The space was plentiful, the beds were comfortable, the apartment was very clean and all the tools needed to cook were available. You will not need any transportation if you will be concentrated in the centre of Florence, as this apartment is minutes walks to all the attractions. I cannot say enough about the apartment and owner, Benedetta, sister and mother. Wonderful, stay with absolutely NO problems. I will be contacting them again in the future. Thank you."

  • Tuscan Countryside

"Casa Alina, located on the outskirts of the small town of Montespertoli, is a hidden gem. A private home in a cluster of several other homes, the setting is lovely with serene garden space in both the front and the back. Private parking is also available. Renting a car in Florence is easy and the drive to Casa Alina is less than an hour. Beautifully decorated with a mix of antiques and modern pieces, the first floor of the home has a comfortable sitting area, a well-equipped kitchen, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities. Two very comfortable and spacious bedrooms and a large hall bathroom take up the second floor. The third floor, a loft or attic space, serves as a tiny third bedroom. Excellent home-cooked meals can be arranged through Laura or you can try some of the local restaurants. Artevino was an especially good choice for a delicious dinner and Pizzeria Ristorante Il Mundo degli Gnomi was a great casual choice. The town square was a fun place to wander and explore, and the local Co-Op grocery store has all the necessary food and supplies to support your stay. Casa Alina is also the perfect jumping-off spot for visiting the many little towns in the area. It's also very close to Castello Sonnino, a local winery, which offers tours along with relaxing meals overlooking the vineyards. Kimberly is very helpful throughout the booking process as well as a great resource for local activities. In short, Casa Alina was a delightful place to stay - the perfect home away from home."

  • Amazing retreat with spectacular view of Florence

"My husband and I just spent 8 lovely days at the Casa Rosa apartment. It is so nice and comfortable, but the best part is the beautiful view over the hills above Florence from the apartment terrace and the sweeping view of central Florence from the grounds of the adjoining hotel. The apartment is in the quiet hills above the center, but is still very close. It is probably best to have a car, although it's easy to take a taxi down the hill. The owners are so nice and welcoming, providing everything we needed. We had use of the hotel pool and other amenities. (The hotel is a gorgeous 16th century villa). The tiled apartment terrace runs along the entire length of the dining/living room. We enjoyed sitting out there for meals and cocktail hour. The evening light on the scattered villas across the way is quite magical. We couldn't have found a better place to escape after a day of sightseeing in town amid the crowds of other tourists."
