  • Family of 5

"Very nice apartment and roomy for us (2 adults and 3 children 11-9 years old). Apartment was clean and tastefully decorated. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have privacy from the children and 2 full baths. We put the kids upstairs. One caution watch out for the low beam in the twin bedroom. My husband who is 5'9" knocked into it the first night. Better to keep small children in there. Location was in a quiet piazza near San Croce and about 5 min walk to Ufizzi, Piazza Palazzo Vecchio and Ponte vecchio. Maybe 15 min walk to Duomo. Everything is very close including the grocery store, Conad. Great haven from the bustle of Florence. We also used the washer/ dryer after being in Rome before hitting Florence. The appliance allowed us to pack light. The air conditioning was a great relief from the hot weather. It was perfect for our family. Just one request, please provide newer fry pans and more cooking utensils. Otherwise, the apartment is perfect. Tiziana spoke fluent English and making reservations was very easy."

  • We rate the Jacopo apartment as EXCELLENT

"Overall, we rate the Jacopo apartment as EXCELLENT. The apartment was spacious and very well stocked with kitchen items and bathroom items. The air conditioning worked well and was important during the hot and humid summer days. It would have been nice to open the windows but we were trying to avoid mosquitos so we relied on the air conditioning the entire time. We loved the location of Jacopo as the Oltrarno seemed less congested. We enjoyed all of the nearby piazzas, cafes and restaurants. On our next visit to Florence, we will certainly return to the Jacopo apartment."

  • Our lovely home on the olive grove

"Our family of 5 (children aged 12, 8 and 5) had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farm house. The apartment was very large and thoughtfully fitted out with quality furnishings and appliances. It was very comfortable and we wished we could stay longer than just five nights. It is so quiet, all you hear is insects and birds. The heated salt water pool was very popular after a busy day sightseeing. We visited Sienna one day and Pisa and Luca another day from here. It is a short train ride into Florence. It felt like we were living like locals rather than tourists. It was a pleasure to come home at the end of each day touring and really relax in the country side. There were two cats that visited each night much to the delight of our daughters. Our son who plays the piano was able to have a couple of practice sessions in Andrea's studio and we enjoyed hearing a recital from Andrea who is a professor of classical music - a real treat! Andrea was a warm host, providing a bottle of their olive oil, a bottle of wine and since we forgot to get Parmesan cheese on our stop at the local grocery store on the way, he kindly provided that too. The road to get there is a bit of a challenge the first time but Andrea's instructions were good to follow. You definitely need a car to get up the hill, but get the smallest car you can as the streets in fiesole and around Florence are sometimes so narrow as first time drivers from Australia. By the end of our tour of Italy we were much more confident drivers. We would recommend this property to family and friends and would love to comeback one day, in a smaller car! This was one of the best places we have stayed and was a real highlight if our trip for everyone in our family."
