  • An excellent stay

"Just returned from our wonderful trip to Italy, where our stay at this Tuscan Farmhouse truly made us feel comfortable and at home. The location was perfect for short trips into Florence, day trips to Siena, and many explorations of the surrounding hill towns. The hosts helpfully provided clear driving directions and information on nearby restaurants and activities. As our computer did not have a modem for the dial-up internet connection, we enjoyed planning our adventures from the many guidebooks and maps provided in the house. We discovered a hiking trail through woods nearby that took us around fortified castles that we'd recommend for visitors with sturdy legs. Beautiful views from the church next door, as well. We had many enjoyable dinners in the kitchen in front of the fireplace, which was a pleasure to use in cool weather. What a delight this lovely house was for our week-- we missed it when we traveled on to our next location. Thank you to the owners for all your assistance, from the booking stage to our arrival, and for making us feel so welcome."

  • Wow!!!

"We stayed here with my brother-in-law and family: 7 of us total. We were very comfortable in the large space and beautiful apartment. Finally – some room and privacy! The location is perfect. It’s out of the touristy area, but close enough to walk to the main attractions. Communication was great with Veronica and Francesca. We loved the recommended restaurants and sightseeing tips. The café and gelato shop on the pedestrian-only shop were a special and unexpected treat, as were the artisans and their shops. They were all a joy to visit and talk to! The apartment was very well equipped, and we enjoyed also the little touches such as the umbrellas left for us to borrow, guidebooks, and window screens. We loved it here and can’t wait to return!"

  • Unforgettable Experience

"We were a group of eleven Canadians who really enjoyed staying at the Villa Tantafera located on a hilltop overlooking the City of Florence. It has large rooms, comfortable beds, a wonderful well-stocked kitchen and dining room, nice furnishings, frescoed and Florentine ceilings, and outside an olive grove, grape vines and lemon trees. The house is so large and the walls so thick that noise doesn't travel much from one floor to another. Roberto, the owner, went out of his way to be kind and helpful. If you are staying at the property bringing your own car is a good idea. We had no trouble at all driving up the hill to the villa but some (not all) of the cabdrivers in the City were reluctant to take those in our party without a car beyond the gate off the main road. Otherwise we could not have stayed in a more perfect place that went well beyond our expectations. We highly recommend this property to other tourists visiting Florence and Tuscany. It felt magical to even be there."
