  • Perfect for 2

"My husband and I stayed 2 nights in Gea in mid-September. It was very clean, well-supplied, and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the living room was a good place to relax after a day of touring. We rented this apartment and the Achille apartment across the hall. The two apartments were a perfect combination for our group. (Achille sleeps 5.) They are conveniently located near a good grocery, markets, many good restaurants, and in walking distance of all attractions - and the train station! Emily is an excellent host. She is very organized, provides excellent recommendations, and is able to assist travellers when necessary, such as calling early morning taxis! Gea is a perfect apartment for 2."

  • Perfect apartment, perfect location!

"This apartment exceeded our expectations in every way! The location is amazing, 2 minutes from the Duomo, close to every sight you'll want to visit. And even more amazing is how quiet this apartment is, despite being so close to major attractions! The apartment is very spacious for 2 people, with all the amenities you'll need. The bathroom is a good size with a big sink and a shower with a FABULOUS shower head. Great bed, and a very sizeable closet. Luca met us at the apartment on time, gave us a bunch of restaurant recommendations (we tried 2 of his recommeded restaurants and they were great!) and gave us a detailed tour of the apartment and how everything worked. The financial transaction was smooth from start to finish and we received our deposit the day we checked out. Staying in this apartment was definitely one of the highlights of our time in Florence!"

  • Florence Home away from Home

"We recently stayed in Pinti 2 for 7 nights while visiting our son in Florence. From initial inquiries with Claudia, to our final checkout with Ketty (Claudia's assistant), EVERYTHING in the apartment was wonderful. Upon arrival, Claudia left us with a basket of fruit on the table, along with soft drinks and a carton of milk in the refrigerator- a nice touch after a long trip from Boston. We slept well (comfy beds), we ate well (a nice kitchen, and tons of restaurants close by), we explored everything by foot (easy walking to all points)- a great experience in all ways. The two bedrooms were great for us, and the separated upstairs loft was perfect for our college aged daughter. There is a local restaurant across the street which was wonderful, and a cappuccino/expresso shop just down on street level- a morning routine for us. We have rented apartments in Europe before- some are not as they seem to appear when booking online. Pinti 2 was as described, and pictures were true to form. A great rental, a great home away from home- we hope to return next year. Thank you Claudia- we enjoyed meeting you, and all the apartment had to offer."

  • HOME AWAY FROM HOME could not be a better description.

"From our first encounter with this owner, we have had nothing but a delightful experience. Her beautiful, spotless, exceptionally well equipped apartment in the heart of Florence just a few blocks from the Duomo is the best we have ever had the opportunity to occupy. It started with being met by an agent who delivered gorgeous orchids on check in. There was a bowl of fresh fruit on the farmhouse style kitchen table, water, mineral water, juice and milk in the refrigerator. There was a nice supply of condiments in the shelves, which we added to, and a can of olive oil hand crafted by the owner from her olive grove, and a small bottle of herbal liquor similar to limoncello, except it had a wonderful nose of fresh herbs. Food is, naturally, a wonderful and integral part of Florentine life. While we dined our for lunch, we truly enjoy preparing dinners at home, which we did most nights. Fresh, beautiful, and extraordinary foods are in abundance at the grocery or better yet at the public market a few blocks away. A short trip to heaven for the avid home chef. The kitchen was equipped so that we could prepare beautiful and tasteful meals and enjoy the process. We tend to sleep with windows open, so naturally there is a bit of noise late into the evenings -- especially on the weekends. Because we reside in a city environment it didn't bother us too much. But be prepared. This close in there will always be a bit of goings-on on the streets well after dark! And there are stairs. You need to be comfortable with a fourth floor walk-up. Stairs are wide and well-lit though. We feel as though this property owner should and could be our friend. We look forward to meeting an visiting her on her farm on the southern coast someday soon!"
