  • Beautiful, clean apartment in a great location!

"The apartment was spacious and updated while still having a Tuscan charm. My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay."

"The train station, Ponte Vecchio, all museums, most piazzas--all within a 15 minute walking circle from CasaCaterina. The Duomo piazza is 2 minutes away. We walked everywhere only taking taxi's to and from the airport--15 minutes away. Best of all. we are within 4 blocks of a dozen gelato locations--a real after dinner treat for us and our visitors. Within the walking circle is the great Florence Market open every day except Sunday with fresh vegetables, fruit, meats, bakery, cheese, herbs--direct from the farmers to us. We were there every day. We took several tours of Florence: on Segways, on Vespas, and walking tours--all starting points are within the walking circle. Expanding our enjoyment of Italy, we took the train to Venice--two hours, a train to Rome--1 1/2 hours, and a bus to Cinque Terre--two hours. The trains are fast and on time. They served us well. The apartment is perfect--besides convenient, it is large, clean and well appointed. We found the wifi to be excellent. Filippo and Caterina are delightful--very accommodating to our every request. When we return to Italy, CasaCaterina will always be our base."

  • Everything on your doorstep

"Just had a fantastic week in Mery's apartment, a friendly, helpful and attentive host. Oltrarno's a great area just to wander around in the early evenings, many Trattorias and pizzerias, and all the key sights a simple 5-10 minute walk across the Ponte Vecchio into the centre of the old city."

  • We will return to Casa Rossa!

"My husand and I stayed with my mother at Casa Rossa for 6 nights in November 2014. The accommodations were perfect for us and both Francesco and his mother were gracious and helpful hosts. The house is exactly as pictured - charming, clean, and comfortable. The views of the Chianti hills from the terrace are splendid indeed! The location is perfect for exploring this region of Tuscany. We made easy drives to Florence, Siena and Pisa, and Francesco recommended off-the-beaten path destinations in Chianti that we thoroughly enjoyed. The local hill town of San Casciano is charming and has excellent restaurants. Our favorite was La Cantinetta del Nonno, recommended by our host. We enjoyed it so much we returned for another meal the next day. One nearby site that we found fascinating is the Amercian World War II cemetery near Florence (only 20 minutes or so from the house). We have already recommended Casa Rossa and Italy Perfect to friends. We were very please with the information we received in advance from Italy Perfect and every detail was attended to. Overall we would give this property an outstanding rating."
