  • A Florentine gem

"We have had several long-term stays here and have thoroughly enjoyed the house and the neighborhood. The house is lovely - comfortable, well-maintained and well-equipped. On the warm days we particularly have enjoyed the roof-top terrace for lunch, aperitivi, and dinner. The area around Piazza Tasso feels like the real Florence -- lively during the day and very quiet in the evening, with many nearby caf'es and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed be able to easily walk everywhere--Piazza Santo Spirito is ten minutes away, and the Duomo is 25 minutes by foot, via many interesting routes -- so there is always something new to discover on the way! Excellent bus transportation for trips within Florence or to other Tuscan towns (e.g., Greve-in-Chianti, Siena) is a two minute walk from the house. This has become our home-away-from-home in Florence and we look forward to our return."

  • Florence Gem

"We stayed here on Via Romana for two weeks with another couple recently. The apartment was great, very well fitted out and comfortable and in an ideal location. You can visit all the sights easily on foot and the train/bus station are also within a 20 minute walk. The neighbourhood is full of shops and restaurants; everything you might need is right there. You can easily cook at home as the kitchen is very well equipped. The apartment has good wifi reception although there is an additional weekly charge for Internet use. George, the owner, is very helpful if you need anything and there are guide books and a good list of suggestions and tips in the apartment. Anyone with difficulty walking or climbing stairs needs to be aware that you will be on the third floor and there is no elevator. We were very grateful to George for helping with our bags both upon our arrival and departure! All in all a fine place to stay and we would highly recommend staying here when you visit Florence."

  • Charm, Comfort, Location!

"This apartment is incredible! It is spacious and elegant while still being comfortable. We were 6 people (a family of four with teenage boys and another couple), and it was the perfect size and arrangement for us. The apartment was well appointed with all the desired conveniences, but the old world charm and architecture made you feel like you were in Renaissance Italy. The location was fantastic. It was very close to the Pitti Palace, and we had no trouble walking to everything we wanted to see even though two of our party were in their seventies ( though spry for their age). The apartment was outside of the main tourist thoroughfares, but on an adorable square. There were a number of good restaurants close by, and it seemed to be more of an area for locals. This really added to the the experience of Florence because you got to experience more Italian culture than in a tourist hotel. The owners were very nice and easy to deal with. The property manager and all the people she recommended to help out were wonderful. Take their restaurant advice and Veronica's walking tour. They were both fantastic. However, I suggest making reservations at the restaurant's they recommend. The places are very popular. I can't say enough about this place. It is the perfect way to see Florence. I highly recommend it,"

  • A lovely apartment in the heart of Florence

"Me and my boyfriend recently stayed at the Bobolicchio apartment for 7 days. First of all the apartment is well located and is just 10 minutes by walk from the historical centre; in the little streets around the apartment there are beautiful shops and very good typical Italian restaurants. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and is equipped with every comfort. There are two bathrooms and this is definitely a strength as well as the fact that the apartment is very quiet!! Upon our arrival the apartment was immaculately clean and the apartment managers Martina and Samir were perfect in responding to any questions before and during our stay. Bobolicchio is definitely recommended from an unforgettable holyday!"
