  • Great Rental - No need to Worry

"This was my first time using HomeAway and therefore even though I had read all the reviews of the places that my family and I were staying, I was very skeptical. The beautiful thing about this apartment was the fact that the owners would answer my emails immediately and provide helpful hints. There were 5 of us so finding an affordable apartment in Italy was a challenge, however this is were this apartment and owners shined. The space was plentiful, the beds were comfortable, the apartment was very clean and all the tools needed to cook were available. You will not need any transportation if you will be concentrated in the centre of Florence, as this apartment is minutes walks to all the attractions. I cannot say enough about the apartment and owner, Benedetta, sister and mother. Wonderful, stay with absolutely NO problems. I will be contacting them again in the future. Thank you."

  • A Dream Come True

"When you stay in a rental for a week you have a week's worth of enjoyment. We stayed for the month of January and had the experience of a lifetime. The flat is everything it is described to be and much more. The apartment became our home and Angela, her husband, and son, Marco, made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. A bottle of wine was waiting on our table, and several days later Angela rang our bell and handed us biscotti. We only had a couple of requests during the month and these were quickly fulfilled. The day before we departed our bell rang again and we were handed a homemade treat. There were hugs all 'round and we said our sad goodbyes! The street is located in a perfect spot for shopping, eating, and for sightseeing. It is amazing that there is no noise even from the rooftop terrace. I am now the proud owner of many, many pictures of the Duomo and Giotto Bell Tower--most taken from the terrace! I also have very fond memories of all of my experiences as a "short-term local". I highly recommend this wonderful flat for a week or longer! Susan B."

  • Nice apartment; well situated.

"We found this apartment after our booked-for-three-months accommodation canceled on us at the last minute! We found it is as-advertised, spacious and clean. The location is good--within easy walking distance of every major sight in Florence as well as the train station. The neighborhood is quieter than you would find on the other side of the river. We were satisfied with the apartment, especially in respect to the cost. Kevan was easy to work with and very accommodating. To be fair to others, I must back other reviews with regard to the street noise in the master bedroom. If you are not a city dweller or a very heavy sleeper, you will find that it is impossible to sleep without earplugs. Even on the weeknights, you can expect to have a lot of noise until 1-2 am, and the first night we arrived (Saturday) it was even later. The good news is that the second bedroom is much quieter--I can't use earplugs, but I was able to sleep by moving to the other bedroom (there were only two of us, so this was practical). This may simply be an artifact of the historic nature of the building and of city life in general, so just be prepared for this--forewarned is forearmed! The neighbors are pretty heavy smokers, so you may not be able to open the windows opening onto the courtyards, but the air conditioning does work, and there are a couple of fans to help circulate the air, so this works well. One recommendation I do have is to provide a small welcome basket upon arrival. A bottle of water, perhaps some coffee, fruit, biscuits and/or some milk would have been much appreciated. There is a market nearby, so we were able to run down to the market before it closed."
