Beautiful accommodation, gracious host
"We had the unfortunate experience of having our accommodation in Florence cancelled less than a week before our departure for Italy. We looked online again and connected with Massimo. Several emails and phone calls later we had a beautiful apartment booked, the Grande Pepi. It is indeed aptly named and we were thrilled to find it. Massimo is a wonderful and most accommodating host. The apartment is very clean, spacious, and centrally located. It is well equipped and even has a clothes dryer. We are all seniors and the stairs were a non issue. In fact, because of the daily exercise, we felt justified in indulging in the delicious gelato! We loved Florence. It is a beautiful city and very pedestrian friendly. We clutched our maps and ventured forth taking in the leather and food markets and even enjoyed an hour at the Florence Fish Kiss. What an amazing way to get a pedicure! Check it out! We will definitely be back and will stay in Massimo's apartment again. Grazie Massimo!"

"We wanted a base while we stayed in Italy and not only was Florence perfect, but the apartment was exactly what we were looking for. The pictures and descriptions are very accurate (thankfully) and Rosalba was great - not intrusive but very responsive. The location of the apartment was ideal for sightseeing as well as comfortable. The only suggestion I would make is to perhaps get a foam topper for the bed - it was very hard. Other than that, we were delighted with Apartment Casa Nicola!"

"A truly beautiful apartment. Look up, look down; everywhere you turn there's history. The frescoes on the ceiling or the beautiful wood floors. The apartment is very spacious by Italian standards and is nicely furnished. Can you believe two full bathrooms, plus a half-bath?
I'd give it five stars, but there are a few things that aren't so great. First, there is no AC in the apartment. That should be fine except for the months of June, July, and August. They do provide fans which helps, but only just a big. The other is that the mattress in the master bedroom has seen better days. I'm not sure why, but it almost seems as though it's on an incline. Also, the one television in the apartment is in the master bedroom. was a little odd. Finally, other than a french press, there's no coffee pot in the apartment. Hello! This is Italy!! :)
However, despite those small issues, the place is beautiful and Niccolo, the caretaker, was very helpful during our stay."

Nice size for two; good location; pictures accurate
"We really enjoyed our stay in the Benci Suite. It was clean and well equipped. The location is convenient without being dead-center in the tourist area. Everything needed is within walking distance including attractions, shopping, and restaurants. We would definitely return to this apartment and have not problems recommending it to friends.
There were only two negatives. 1. There is not a washing machine/dryer "through a sliding door, climbing a little staircase", and 2. The restaurant downstairs played music until 4:00 AM one morning. An updated list of services (grocery, ATM, Laundromat, etc.) with a map would have been useful."
