Recent Florence reviews

  • Very well located

"The apartment was very well located, close to shops, food, restaurants, etc. The Four Lions (Quatro Liones) restaurant was our favorite. The owners need to upgrade the T.V. and get at least one English station."

  • Very Comfortable

"Location, location. This apartment is literally across the street from the train depot and within walking distance of all the special sights you’ll want to see. The fifth floor views can be enjoyed in two directions and the view includes the amazing Il Duomo. There’s an elevator to get you up to these views. The dining and living rooms are large and airy with a wall of windows. The three bedrooms all have views of Florence and are pleasant and clean. And there is an ice cream shop just outside the gates!"

  • Nice apartment; well situated.

"We found this apartment after our booked-for-three-months accommodation canceled on us at the last minute! We found it is as-advertised, spacious and clean. The location is good--within easy walking distance of every major sight in Florence as well as the train station. The neighborhood is quieter than you would find on the other side of the river. We were satisfied with the apartment, especially in respect to the cost. Kevan was easy to work with and very accommodating. To be fair to others, I must back other reviews with regard to the street noise in the master bedroom. If you are not a city dweller or a very heavy sleeper, you will find that it is impossible to sleep without earplugs. Even on the weeknights, you can expect to have a lot of noise until 1-2 am, and the first night we arrived (Saturday) it was even later. The good news is that the second bedroom is much quieter--I can't use earplugs, but I was able to sleep by moving to the other bedroom (there were only two of us, so this was practical). This may simply be an artifact of the historic nature of the building and of city life in general, so just be prepared for this--forewarned is forearmed! The neighbors are pretty heavy smokers, so you may not be able to open the windows opening onto the courtyards, but the air conditioning does work, and there are a couple of fans to help circulate the air, so this works well. One recommendation I do have is to provide a small welcome basket upon arrival. A bottle of water, perhaps some coffee, fruit, biscuits and/or some milk would have been much appreciated. There is a market nearby, so we were able to run down to the market before it closed."
