A beautiful place with a wonderful hostess.
"I can't think of a better way to visit Tuscany. This location was perfect for day trips into Florence(we recommend at least two days here) and all the hilltop towns we wanted to visit. Among them, Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, Arezzo, Cortona, Orvieto and the Chianti region. With easy access to busses, trains(in Florence), and highways, we were able to travel each day only to return "home" each evening to relax. The view from our terrace was beautiful. Slightly out of town and high upon a hill allowed for peace and quiet to reflect on our day of travel and plan for the next.
The path to get up to this wonderful villa is mostly gravel and steep, but well worth the trip once you see the view. We were amazed that we could make out some of the sights in Florence, including the Duomo and the Arno river.
We were happy to have a full-functioning kitchen. We picked up groceries and local wine from the towns we visited each day and prepared a meal to enjoy out on that terrace each night. The sunrises and sunsets were truly breathtaking.
The property itself is on an olive grove, and being here in the fall afforded us the chance to investigate the land. I brought my sketchbooks and watercolors to capture the famed Tuscan light.
Fiorenza, our host, was most helpful, answering questions and accommodating our needs. The apartment was clean and well stocked with basics. There were maps and pamphlets left by our host and previous renters that we perused. The photos and descriptions in the listing do not do this rental justice...it was much nicer than we expected.
We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in this region. It is imperative that you have a rental car though.
If were are blessed with the opportunity to visit this part of Italy again, we will most assuredly rent this apartment again."

"The Memoria apartment was located in an ideal location looking down on the Ponte Vecchio with a view up and down the Arno. The apartment was larger than we expected with every amenity we would want. We especially liked the balcony, dining room, living room and kitchen. The "greeter" was most helpful and made a special trip to meet us even though our plane was delayed because we had to land in Bologna. We would happily rent Memoria again.
We were impressed with all your information about Florence, etc. We were especially impressed by Stefano Giusti car service who sent us a very nice driver to take us to San Gimignano (can't remember his name). Your company seemed more professional and streamlined to deal with than other services we looked into (one all-inclusive charge).
Yes we would, and have, recommended Italy Perfect to friends."
