  • Best Location in Florence

"We loved our stay in Florence in large part because of the incredible location and ambiance of this apartment. Our hosts were warm welcoming and very helpful. We would have liked another week to stay. We were able to do a little cooking in the tiny kitchen set up although with all the great restaurants we certainly didn't need to. We had everything we needed here including a hairdryer but you can forget your US made curling iron as the electrical system is not built for it. We enjoyed several tours with FlorenceTown which is located only a few blocks away. Our hosts were very helpful providing directions to other attractions, in particular a bus to the basilica of San Miniato on the hill across the Arno. The sunset and the monks chanting Gregorian chants at sunset was a high point for us."

  • Wonderful location, and great value for money!

"This place is ideally situated for me. I am a solo traveler and felt very safe and comfortable in this area at all hours of the day and night. The place is literally at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio. And just to the left of the apt is the Uffizi Museum. Walking a few minutes past the Ponte Vecchio is a grocery store. There is great open air market just past the Palazzo Vecchio, which sells souvenirs and leather goods at a reasonable price. The apt itself has just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. Even a washer/dryer machine. I stayed only 5 nights here, but could have easily spent more time in the area. The owner was very helpful and furnished a information binder that was very comprehensive. Being on the 5th floor, the noise from the street was never an issue. This apt felt like living like a local. I would definately stay here again!!"

  • Two Weeks in Florence

"We loved our two week stay in your Bardi apartment. We have been to Florence many times but this was our first time to rent an apartment in the city. The apartment was perfect. It was exceptionally clean, attractively furnished, a very nice size bedroom and wonderful little flower filled balcony where we had breakfast and enjoyed a glass of wine before dinner. This October was unusually hot so we really appreciated the good air-conditioning. We loved the location...right by Ponte Vecchio.....we were in easy walking distance to most of the Museums and attractions. Two small museums we enjoyed were Stefano Bardini and Cappella Brancacci. There were some terrific restaurants very close to the apartment...an old favorite Cammillo, our new favorite Osteria de Cinghiale Bianco, Trattoria 4 Leoni, and Mamma Gina for fried chicken ( better than in Texas) plus many more that we tried. We enjoyed the lovely little Anglican church that was not far from the apartment. They even use their space for Operas in the evenings. One day we took a wine tour with Grape Tours located just down from the apartment on via de Bardi...very handy. If you are looking for a charming little apartment in a perfect location with very helpful owners, you are sure to like the Bardi."
