A Great Florence Experience
"We stayed only 3 nights but I wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment was the perfect Florence experience, on the other side of the Arno surrounded by locals rather than tourists. The apartment is in an old building, up a couple of flights of stairs (no elevator) which makes you feel like a true Florentine (plus it helped to work off all the gelato that we ate everyday!). You can walk everywhere from the apartment: to Piazzale Michelangelo, Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, the Accademia, etc. If you are not cooking in, there is a "bar" across the street and another a couple of doors down for morning coffee and pastry and good restaurants near by. The apartment was the perfect size for the 4 of us with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a comfortable living room and cute little kitchen. In the afternoon, from the living room window you could hear the locals in the building talking as they prepared lunch. The owner, George, is very nice and was easy to work with by email as we were making arrangements as well as when we arrived. He checked in with us during our stay to make sure that everything was O.K. I would rent the apartment again on our next visit."

Our party of 8 throughly enjoyed the villa. You will to
"Everything was as we had hoped. The villa was beautiful. Antonello was very helpful, and responded quickly to our needs. The property was previously a hotel, and has been extensively remodeled into 3 separate, but attached villas. The interiors are Classic Italian with Gorgeous wooden beamed ceilings.
the building is a large u shaped structure with the owners occupying the center, and the 2 rental villas on either side. As the owners are onsite they are readily available to help with any requests you might have. The beautiful building, while very old; is substantial, well maintained, and has every modern convenience on the inside, even an induction range in the one we occupied. The outside patio has a wonderful view of the countryside. We enjoyed it often for meals, and wine.
The property is gated, so it is very private and secure. 2 pools assure both villas have their own pool. There is enough separation, and the walls are hugely thick so everyone's privacy is assured.
The only downsides found is the road outside into town lacks a sidewalk. Traffic whizzes by, in typical Italian fashion, and because it is curvy drivers vision is limited. Pedestrians need to take care there.
All in all we recommend it highly. The 8 of us were all pleased, and would go back; without any hesitation."
