Recent Firenze (Florence) Province reviews

  • Mama Mia! This was my very best experience to date.

"I felt very confident from the first communication with Lisa that this was going to be a very special experience. Both my husband and I are assumebly well travelled and described to Lisa our requirements in terms of location, type of area etc., that we were looking for on our trip to Florence. Michaela was perfecto! Great street to open our doors to in the morning! Quality shops were around the corner, markets, artisans and the list goes on and on. We especially enjoyed the Saturday morning artisan market (near the Novella ) eating on warmed benches under the Florence sunshine. Our hosts went above all expectations as we drove into the narrow streets when we first arrived (lost and about to enter a one way street the wrong way) to personally walk to our car and take us to the appartment. And then, taking us to return our rental vehicle as Florence is definitely not a driving city! On our last day, again taking us to the airport to ensure we were there on time and without any hassle. Mama Mia! This was my very best experience to date. A very special thank you to our hosts and to Lisa for an absolutely perfect experience. Italy Perfect? Without a question. By the way Lisa, any hopes for a Spain Perfect soon?"

  • Two Weeks in Florence

"We loved our two week stay in your Bardi apartment. We have been to Florence many times but this was our first time to rent an apartment in the city. The apartment was perfect. It was exceptionally clean, attractively furnished, a very nice size bedroom and wonderful little flower filled balcony where we had breakfast and enjoyed a glass of wine before dinner. This October was unusually hot so we really appreciated the good air-conditioning. We loved the location...right by Ponte Vecchio.....we were in easy walking distance to most of the Museums and attractions. Two small museums we enjoyed were Stefano Bardini and Cappella Brancacci. There were some terrific restaurants very close to the old favorite Cammillo, our new favorite Osteria de Cinghiale Bianco, Trattoria 4 Leoni, and Mamma Gina for fried chicken ( better than in Texas) plus many more that we tried. We enjoyed the lovely little Anglican church that was not far from the apartment. They even use their space for Operas in the evenings. One day we took a wine tour with Grape Tours located just down from the apartment on via de Bardi...very handy. If you are looking for a charming little apartment in a perfect location with very helpful owners, you are sure to like the Bardi."
