  • Sonia's help was invaluable

"We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely central apartment CASA OPERA. It had everything we could possibly need and the 20C meets 15th C architecture was really interesting. Comnfortable beds, quiet surroundings, lovely view, enough space for everyone and spacious clean bathrooms. Modern appliances were not missing: combined washing machine and clothes dryer as well as a reliable wifi connection. Sonia's help was invaluable, like others, we arrived late on Saturday & Sonia organised transport for us. We have been to Lucca on several previous occasions but Sonia's suggestions for visits led us outside the city walls and up to the river for the first time (Sonia provided 4 wonderful bikes for us). Sonia was especially kind to us before we left Lucca and we will return before too long. Thank you. James and Barb from England"

  • Excellent location in a beautiful town

"The apartment is perfect and has everything you need. Spacious, bright, excellent mattress and wi-fi as well air con. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance and some great shops. Sonia was very helpful and we can't wait to come back! Try the little sandwich shop just down the road (Pan di Strada) loads of choice and open til midnight. Grazie mille Sonia!"

  • CASA AGOSTINO WORTH 6 STARS!

"My parents and I came to visit my sister in Lucca to celebrate my mother's birthday in the second week of August. Since my sister lives some distance from the centre, I decided to stay in a central flat. Booking was very easy and the owner very helpful. My family was extremely happy with the accommodation and the central location was perfect for sightseeing (including the Contemporary art museum which is well worth a visit). They were very comfortable indeed (me too!); air conditioning was more than sufficient even in a warm week. A bottle of wine and a vase of fresh flowers on the kitchen table was much appreciated on arrival. Lots of kitchen and bathroom supplies were also provided which was unexpected and most welcome. Excellent supermarket 2 minutes away and take-away food places besides the many restaurants in the area. The flat is extremely well-equipped - right next to the most famous winery in town. We loved the location, the equipment provided and the apartment itself. The rooms were comfortable and the apartment so clean, spotless and beautiful! Internet connection was efficient and fast, we never had any trouble getting connected. We also had a great meal at the restaurant down the street - one of our best in Italy! We would certainly book to stay here again and would recommend it wholeheartedly to friends."

  • Martha B.

"We have just returned home from a wonderful stay at Villa La Carciofaia, the beautiful home of Signora Claudia. She is a lovely hostess and made our stay very special. Her attention to detail is evident in every beautiful room. Our bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms modern. We were there with our three grown children and their spouses and there was plenty of room for everyone to gather. The pool is just beautiful and was the gathering place in the late afternoons after full days of sightseeing, wine tasting and exploring Lucca. We had Signora Cristina come to the house and cook dinner one night and it was beyond wonderful, from the first course to the last. She also brought local wines, very fun to know that the wines were from the area. The covered back patio was our favorite spot to eat, drink wine and play cards. We had all meals outside, the view from the porch was just amazing. The beautiful flowers were beyond anything we have in Texas including, the vineyard, hydrangeas, gardenias and herb gardens. We hope to get back to Lucca some day, and this fabulous villa would be our first choice."
