  • Wonderful experience

"First off, it was great working with Claudia to reserve her apartment. Could not have been easier. The apartment itself was very nicely appointed and comfortable, plenty of room for the 4 of us (2 couples). The kitchen was well equipped, well stocked. The location was great as well. We ate at 3 different restaurants recommended by Claudia, which were literally less than a 3 min walk away (the farthest one!). All were fantastic. There was also a large market about 10 min walk from the apartment. We opted to take the 4 hour cooking class that Claudia recommended and it was one of the highlights of the trip. Barbara Antonucci was a great cooking instructor and we all have a new appreciation for what it takes to create an authentic Italian meal from scratch. We would definitely recommend this apartment for anyone looking to stay in Florence. Last time my wife and i were here we stayed up in Fiesole, which was nice but staying in the city center was a much better experience. Also worth noting, my "batting average" with HomeAway remains perfect across the 3 countries we've used the site!"

  • Great Florence apartment

"Lorenzo, our host for this apartment in Florence, was fantastic and provided us with a lot of good information on restaurants, sites not to miss, etc. Take him up on his recommendations, because for us, they all turned out wonderful, especially the restaurant recommendations. The apartment was spacious, as advertised, and a lot of nice details had been looked after. For example, he furnished a drying rack to hang out the clothes on the terrace, etc. We didn't cook meals during our stay, but we did make coffee and have it on the very spacious terrace. The bed, although firm, was fine and our only want was better sleeping pillows! The only thing that surprised us was the level of noise, as you are right beside the Duomo, but that was to be expected considering the location. Overall, we think it was good value and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lorenzo's apartment."
