"My wife and I stayed in this lovely apartment for two weeks this past April. It could not have been better! Ok, a lift would have been better, BUT, lifts are a rarity in buildings from this era and in this part of the world. It is part and parcel to the experience.
Luciano and Rosa were at the door when we arrived via taxi from the train station, helping us up the stairs and to getting settled into the apartment. The two bicycles were a great bonus and inspiration to get out and about.
The location could not have been better. Just off one of the main streets, it is quiet and perfectly placed for a short walk out for pastries, or gelato, or a glass of wine, to the market for our daily food shopping, or a walk around the wall.
Easy to get outside the town, too. The train is a nearby 15 to 20 minute walk.
We rented a car for a couple days of day trips south to San Gimignano, Sienna, and an overnight to Montalcino. The highways make it easy, but the back roads make it fun!
As much as anything, it is the pace of life that attracted us. We have had plenty of vacations in which we try to see and do as much as possible. This was not that. This was an intentional, mind-less, real vacation. We really vacated!
This could not have happened without the base to live from, and this apartment was 'perfetto'. Two weeks was not enough. Maybe two months next time!
Luciano y Rosa, gratzie mille!"

"This place was gorgeous! I loved how it was decorated and it was very comfortable and modern and clean. I felt like I was actually at a nice home and not just a rental. It was very convenient to get to all the places in the area. And there is enough space for all of 4 of us to stay comfortably. But it still had the charm of Italy. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a clean comfortable and beautiful place."

"A lovely home in a beautiful setting - we really enjoyed our time at Traimonti, where we spent a week there in July 2014. Overlooking the quaint ancient village of San Andrea Di Compito and the green hills beyond, Traimonti is a reflection of Anna and Angelo’s dream, an idyllic spot nestled in an extensive olive plantation. The house is well-appointed and designed and built to the highest standards - more than enough space for a family or two couples. The weather was good during our stay, and we really enjoyed spending time at your pool, a pool with perhaps the very best view in the world! Other highlights for us included exploring and walking around Lucca - a most picturesque city - and several dinners at Tre Tigli, where the staff are very friendly and the pizzas quite delicious, thin and crisp. On our last night we went to see Madame Butterfly at Torre del Lago, which was very special and a great end to our stay. Thank you for being prepared to allow us to stay for a little while in this magical setting, it was such a super stay, and we hope to return someday. Thank you Anna and Angelo, we enjoyed meeting you both."

"We had a wonderful time at Buralla. Our group of 8 adults and 11 children at the age of 2 to 16 had a perfect stay and especially a lot of space to enjoy the large group.
Simonetta was very nice and cooked lovely meals for us and helped us adults to relax. It was perfect and we only can recommend to book Simonetta as well!
Simon and Manuela were very helpful and answered patiently all the questions we had before and during our stay. We can only recommend this place with beautiful views and a great place to grill. According to the fact that 9 of the 11 kids were boys they enjoyed the space outside as their football ground.
Furthermore we did an exciting tour to Carrara where we booked a jeep tour - the kids had a lot of fun. The beautiful town of Lucca is really close by."
