  • Perfect Honeymoon Retreat!!

"My new husband and I spent a week long retreat here at Poggio Pilella on our honeymoon. We took a train straight into Chiusi and rented a car from Avis and were at the cottage within 10 mins or so. We were blown away at how beautiful this property was. This gated property is situated on an olive grove and vineyard, the infinity pool and grounds are beautiful! The cottage was perfectly appointed and the owners Stefano and Isabella have impeccable taste. It was super clean, and stocked with everything you would need to cook a perfect Italian meal. And the owners left us with a beautiful bottle of their wine, olive oil and homemade jam. So good!! We spent some afternoons by the pool and evenings cooking in our cottage and star gazing. It was stunning! One night we sat by the warmth of the fireplace. We booked our stay with Linda, who also arranged a cooking class one night and a wine tasting one afternoon. Both of these were such great additions to our trip, and our Brunello Wine tasting with at Abbadia Ardenga will remain one of our favourite days! At the villa, Stefano arranged an olive oil tasting, Carlo was super entertaining and knowledgeable. There are piles of medieval villages within an hour of the villa and we had one of our best meals in Cetona at Osteria del Merlo. We loved everything about our stay here and it was the perfect after staying in the craziness of Rome. Would definitely recommend this property and hope to come back one day! Thank you Stefano, Isabella and Linda for making our honeymoon perfect!"

  • Peaceful Hilltop Villa Perfect for Two Large Families

"This peaceful villa was the perfect getaway in Tuscany. The little town nearby, Citta del Pieve, was by far my favorite and the least touristy of all that we visited. The location of this villa allowed for several easy day trips to Rome, Florence, and famous wineries. We consisted of two families with young children, thus the layout of this house was absolutely perfect. It had 3 bedrooms 2 baths and a kitchen on each of the levels. Swimming in the large pool was a great way to end the day for the children. A couple of nights we hired a woman named Beatrice to come in and cook a large meal for us when we knew we were going to return late and tired from a day of sightseeing. The price was reasonable when compared to going out, and the food was delicious. It was wonderful to be able to relax on the porch, watch the sunset while the children played, and have Beatrice cook a fantastic meal. I highly recommend this beautiful villa to anyone."

  • Beautiful Peaceful Villa

"We want to thank Jacopo, his staff and friends, Fabio, Georgie and Angela for the fabulous stay, food, warm welcome and assistance with everything from tours, directions and car rental. We had 2 couples but the house had room for 3. It is simply beautiful and so relaxing. We enjoyed the pool. We loved having the car and made several day trips to Montepulciano, Val d'Orcia, Pienza and numerous wineries, cheese farm, olive oil and balsamic tastings. Each restaurant suggested by Jacopo was wonderful. We loved the home town feel and welcome here and in the town of Citta della Pieve. We felt like family. Fabio cooked us a fabulous welcome meal that we so enjoyed. We also enjoyed his company. Angela was able to assist us in communication and was very kind. We hope to return to Italy again at some point and to again come to Casa Baiocco. Thank you!"

  • The best view in Tuscany!

"My dream did come true of staying in a villa with the most beautiful view, peaceful, close to two small towns (not many tourist) and close to trains to take us to Siena, Florence and Rome. The villa is clean and very well kept! Patrizia, had a wonderful tart and wine waiting for us, which we enjoyed every morning! We requested dinner for the first night, prepared by Linda was just perfect. Of course we ate on the covered patio-did I mention how amazing the view was? Linda was very helpful with pre-trip questions and suggestions of cities and restaurants to visit. We loved the Cetona, just a short drive from the Villa, where we visited a wine/cheese shop where the owner gave a a tasting! (There are also some really good restaurants) One week was not enough to enjoy the villa and everything else there is to see! Thanks Linda and Patrizia for making this a trip of a life time for me, my sister and friend."
