  • Another amazing review of La Corbina :)

"Every review for La Corbina is positive and glowing and now that we've spent a week there in June, we know why! It is one of the most amazing places we've stayed at with some of the loveliest and interesting hosts we've met in our travels. Home: meticulously renovated true Tuscan farmhouse (done by Paul, the owner!) with every modern amenity you would need and more (i.e.: wireless surround sound to stream your iTunes!). Amazing chef like kitchen with every appliance for a simple breakfast to a gourmet meal. Paul and Nicole also provide a lot of the ingredient to help get you started, including great wine from the vineyard down the street to superb olive oil from their own backyard olive grove! Grounds: abundant garden for veggies and fruit, many outdoor areas to hang out and eat from as well as a pool/lounge area overlooking the whole valley. We really liked it that Paul and Nicole lived in the other farmhouse on the property. We still enjoyed absolute privacy when we wanted yet it was awesome to have them close by to help with anything. They were so valuable in helping us plan our schedule while there. But the place is so lovely that you will probably be very torn in leaving it to sightsee! The location is secluded (would suggest a car with some decent horsepower) but you are rewarded with peaceful silence and out of this world views of the hills and valleys. It is also still very central to a lot of the big towns in Tuscany (i.e.: Siena, Florence etc). Thank you Paul and Nicole for sharing your home with us. Karman, Jae and Anita"

  • Total heaven!

"Want to live the dream presented by all the stunning articles you've read about Tuscany? Then stay in this charming apartment in a tiny village in the heart of Chianti! No commerce here, just a pure and glorious landscape full of olive trees and vines. And Simonetta is the perfect hostess. She will welcome you with a smile and help you plan your days out (if you can bear to leave). You can even take your wine and cheese onto her stunning terrace and watch the sunset over the vines and trees that stretch as far as you can see. Small villages, castles, wineries, local markets and wonderful restaurants abound - all within a short drive. You will need a car, but driving through this countryside will be one of your fondest memories. Or leave the car nearby and take the bus to Florence or Siena. Before you leave you will be planning your return!"

  • Fantastic week in Chianti!!!!!!!!

"What an amazing dream vacation in Italy we had with our family of four. Your hosts at Erbolino, Riccardo and AnnaMaria are beyond unbelievable... they took time with giving us directions, making sure we had everything we needed, giving us plenty of privacy but there to offer advice as to sites to see, cooking classes, etc. if we needed. They live in the property above the home and also provided newspapers/maps with current events that was very helpful for us to check out. We visited a medieval festival in Rhadda. When we inquired about the use of a barbecue Riccardo even went into town to buy one for us to use. Unbelievably kind! The property was extremely comfortable with our two boys. We could eat in the dining room or sit out on the beautiful terrace with the view. Everyday we would hurry home from a great day of sightseeing to catch that nights unique sunset. There is a fully stocked kitchen and everything we could ever need. The bedrooms in our home were very comfortable. We never watched tv but did have plenty of Internet when needed. The home is a few minutes walk to the little hamlet(town) of Vertine, a quick drive down to the town of Gaiole (for groceries, bank, etc) and a 10 minute drive to highly recommended hilltop town of Rhadda. Not to mention its a close drive from dozens of other small darling medieval towns. We were sad to leave beautiful Erbolino...what wonderful people and an incredible vacation!!! We will be back someday!!"
