  • Heaven! Exceeded all expectations!

"I just returned (reluctantly) from a month at Gabbianuzzo where I celebrated a big birthday with family and friends! It is the perfect house in which to bring large groups together, but still feel that there is plenty of personal space! Folks did their own thing during the day and gathered around the pool in the afternoon and then later around the farm table for a leisurely meal late at night! From Florence to Siena to the art festival in Certaldo to multiple visits to the butcher in Panzano and, of course, the lovely town of Castellina, we all agreed that the opportunities to explore were endless. I even took my five and four year old grand-children to a ropes course designed for all ages and they had a blast! Just follow Erik's advice on taking advantage of the area and you will not go wrong! I went into town each morning to pick up fresh bread from the bakery and had my Italian lovingly corrected by the friendly woman behind the counter. Erik will give you suggestions on where and what to order for a take-out dinners in Castellina and all food was fabulous! The kitchen is a cook's dream and we all enjoyed assembling the side dishes to accompany the main dish that I picked up each night. I think that all friends and family would agree that Gabbianuzzo and Italy stole a part of our hearts! It's a perfect house and location to bring people together!"

  • A beautiful farmhouse - truly relaxing.

"We stayed at La Buro for two weeks during July 2014 with our two young girls aged 7 & 4 and had the most relaxing and lovely time in this beautifully furnished and finished home. Elizabeth, the owner, has done an amazing job to restore the farmhouse over the years and has created a calm and sophisticated home whilst also retaining all its local Tuscan charm. Elizabeth was such a help throughout the rental process and during our stay and even made our children's summer (possibly lives so far ;0)) by letting us "borrow" Lola, her dog, for several days. The pool was super for lazy days messing around in the water, with great views out over the valley and the grounds were idyllic. We all enjoyed spotting deer on the tracks in the morning and listening out for the owls calling to each other in the woods at dusk. The location was perfect for exploring local towns such as Cetona, Montepulciano etc as well as ideal to get onto the A1 for longer days away. We even managed to get to Pisa and Florence to provide a little flavour for our children. Everything at this beautiful farmhouse is genuinely as described here and by others - it really is a true gem. We have rented several houses a year across Europe for the past decade and this house has been our favourite and we look forward to being able to go back soon."

  • Great apartment, great town

"John and Wendy have a great apartment, make the process of booking very easy and give a lot of good advice on where to visit, eat etc. Montefollonico is a lovely, quiet town with some very good restaurants and also a good base to explore the area. We arrived in the late and in the dark, thought what a pretty town and apartment, woke up and then WOW !!! The views from the windows are great, and then you get to the Tower - 360 degree view to die for. So thanks John and Wendy, loved the apartment and appreciated all your advice - we'll be back :)"

  • Wonderful Tuscan experience!

"This beautiful farmhouse was our dream base for our family holiday in Tuscany. Carla, Franco and the dog Rambo made us feel very welcome and no request was too much trouble. The immaculately restored farmhouse was a pleasure to stay in. It was very well equipped and meticulously cared for. With the vegetable garden and pool at our disposal we had no need to leave the house and gardens apart from the other Tuscan delights calling us. The house is set up cleverly allowing 3 to 4 couples / families to be accommodated with privacy and their own bathroom. As the house is a little hidden down an unpaved road it takes a bit of initial finding. The upside is of course the peace and tranquillity which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our stay here left us all relaxed and revitalised and we hope that one day we can return."
