  • Great place

"We stayed at this lovely Villa for eight nights. It is delightful. Built hundreds of years ago but all the modern conveniences. The owner, Barbara, is delightful and speaks perfect English. The town is a small walled City with a great restaurant and marvelous historical sites. It is in a perfect location but tucked in the mountains away from everything. Only 20 minutes from some of the loveliest places in Italy. We would come back without a doubt"

  • Cousin reunion

"What a wonderful place to stay for our cousin reunion. Very peaceful and quiet. Franca is an excellent hostess and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We had one night catered by her chef and the food was delicious. We would also recommend doing a wine tasting while staying at the property. It was everything we hoped it would be for our reunion."

  • Did we drive off the dirt road and end up in heaven?

"I had been planning my 50th birthday trip for over a year. I stumbled upon La Corbina during a brief search and afterwards no other place could compare. I didn't care where in Tuscany it was and didn't care how much it cost. Luckily my husband was in agreement! I had high expectations but feared that maybe I built it up in my mind too much and that it was too good to be true. Driving along the long, winding, dirt road as we approached the house the excitement started to build. I barely remember shaking Paul and Nicole's hands as they came out to greet us. I saw the place I had been dreaming about and it was real and EXACTLY as I had hoped. Paul quickly took us inside and gave us a tour of the house. I tried to be polite and ask good questions but I think I was in shock. I was anxious for him to leave us alone so I could open a bottle of wine and attempt to calm down and take it all in. The rest of our stay was a dream. The house is perfect, the gardens beautiful, the views amazing. I still cannot describe it accurately and after looking at my many photos there is not one that does it justice. Nicole went out of town while we were there but Paul took excellent care of us. He suggested day trips that we enjoyed. We gathered local foods and wine during our morning drive but could never find a place that we wanted to spend more than an hour or two. Nothing compared to our afternoons and evenings at La Corbina. We grilled fresh meat, picked ripe garden tomatoes for a salad, found peaches for dessert and stirred up a risotto with many of the ingredients that came stocked in the wonderful kitchen. Trying to decide which outdoor porch to sit on was the toughest decision of the evening. I am so grateful to Paul and Nicole for creating their special haven and sharing it with us!"
