  • Beautiful Tuscan Villa

"My family of 6 stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The villa is beautiful. Lovely gardens, nice pool, fantastic view of San Gusme and you can even see Siena in the distance. There are plenty of great local restaurants not far away. The kitchen was spacious and we cooked a couple of meals at the villa for those that would like to stay in and cook their own Italian suppers. I also rented a bike while there and road to several small towns in the Chianti area, highly recommended. There are plenty of wineries near by including one that is walking distance from the villa. Bianca was very helpful and I was grateful to her father for coming to get us in San Gusme when we first arrived (a bit late...). We cant wait to go back and would absolutely stay at the villa again!"

  • Beautiful Villa in a Perfect Location!

"We stayed in the Villa Banditello this past July, and it was the perfect base from which to explore the neighbouring hill towns of Montepulciano, Montefollonico, Pienza, Siena, etc. The villa is 5 minutes outside of Montefollonico (great restaurant here called 13 Gobbi, where the owner/chef makes home made fettuccini in a hollowed out peccorino cheese rind, scraping the melted cheese down into the pasta .. yum!). It is situated in its own vineyards and olive groves, and is beautifully appointed, right down to a wood oven (in addition to the regular one). The kitchen was very well equipped, the washing machine worked perfectly, bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, bright and clean, and the views . . . well they were pretty much "storybook"! Michele personally spoke to us on the phone as we arrived, to be sure that we had all we needed. The housekeeper was there to greet us, and showed us everthing we needed to know. There is lots of room for parking. Furnishings, books and art are plentiful and tasteful. It really is a home away from home. There was even a bottle of the vineyard's own red wine waiting for us on arrival. Thank you Michele and Cristina! We would like to return this summer again in July! We will contact you!"

  • Lovely GEM in the heart of Tuscany.

"This Lovely, well-furnished open layout with beautiful antiques, immaculate and peaceful garden views from every window apartment met our expectation completely. We were very impressed with the professional attitude of the owner, information given to us, correspondence and overall dealings with Mandy and Bernhard before we even arrived to San Quirico d'Orcia. When we arrived to San Quirico, we were very pleased with the location; listing photos accurately reflected rental's appearance and amenities, all was beyond and above. Casa sul Giardino is even more beautiful in reality! Super! This was perfect place with plenty of activities, suggestions from Mandy & Christina in the heart of Tuscany were extremely helpful. Sightseeing tours to nearby towns of Montalcino, Moltepulciano, Pienza, Bagno Bignoni, Pienza, Sant Antimo d’Abate with breath taking, stunning and magnificent views made it very special for us. Enjoyed fine dining in Trattoria al Vecchio Forno in San Quirico first night we came. We have been enriched with great memories and pleasurable stay Thanks to Mandy, Bernhard and caretaker Christina."

  • Can I just say...Heaven.

"My wife and I spent three nights at Godenano di mezzo and 5 stars are just not enough. This is a beautifully restored farmhouse from the 1200's and it is just an incredible location. It was like hanging out in a movie set or a storybook. The property is in the midst of olive trees and vineyards, with wonderfully maintained grounds. We stayed in the rosemary apartment and it did not disappoint, it was very clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The small town nearby (Castillina) was just a perfect Tuscan hill village. Wonderful streets, nice restaurants, and not very crowded....perfect. We came here after Rome and it was like slipping into a warm hot tub after a hard day. I wish we had more time to spend there. It was close to Siena and other more tourist hill towns so they are easy to see during the day but really this place is THE Tuscan experience... you don't have to go anywhere else, the other cities we saw were just "extra's". The pool was wonderful (even though it was a bit chilly because of the late season) with a great valley view and super clean (I don't believe there was one thing out of place on this whole property in or out, it was immaculately kept). Our hosts were extremely nice and very helpful about the local area. I just cant say enough how perfect this place is, so I am sure you can tell I would recommend it to anyone for a stay there...just make it a long one, you will never regret it. :)"
