  • Nice roomy apartment in great location

"Jim and I stayed here for the entire month of April 2014. The apartment was just as advertised-roomy, clean, great location close to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, even a wonderful carry-out restaurant where we could bring back 1/2 a roast chicken or lasagna for our dinner. Rachel was very responsive to all questions. Our cons to the place: lousy pots and pans (we like to cook!) and a very old TV set that did not work well!"

  • Lifetime Experience

"Authentic Tuscan Villa in serene setting. Tastefully decorated with old world charm. Great central location to explore Tuscany and surrounding areas. Villa was beyond expectations in very private setting. Views of vineyards and mountains were endless. Hilltop pool was perfect spot to chill and view the wonderful setting while planning the next day adventure. Nine days at this Villa and never once bored. Surrounding small towns and vineyards provide good food and wine experiences. Excellent support staff at the end of road were very helpful. Convenient to market about 6 kilometers away. Outdoor fireplace with grill adds to cooking experience."

  • Holy Cow--look out the window!

"I'm one that needs to have my bearings, and spent time with a map figuring out where everything was before we arrived. As we went up to the apartment, I'm wondering, "Where is the Duomo from here?" Then when Sandro showed us the terrace--wow, it's just right there!! The apartment is just as listed and depicted in the photos. We used the elevator for luggage and occasionally when we were just dog-tired, but otherwise took advantage of the steps. The place is well-maintained, clean, and well appointed. We were so pleased to have a nice place to start and end each day--and quiet, too. Angela and Marco kept in contact with us and Sandro introduced us to the apartment and provided advice on local sights. The kitchen was modern and the manual for the washer was right there (you read Italian, don't you?). There is a modern market a few doors down--not as charming as the little shops we were used to, but well stocked with everything you might need, including some pre-made dishes. Our taxi driver was a bit flustered when we gave him the address, because you can't drive down Via Borgo San Lorenzo--he apologized and dropped us at the piazza--a short walk to the apartment. The restaurant right next door is fantastic (Giannino in San Lorenzo)-we had dinner there two nights! The Duomo and associated sights are right there, the Ufizzi just a short walk towards the river across Piazza Vecchio. If you are scientifically inclined, visit the Galileo museum on the river by the Ufizzi. There's quite a view of the river and Ponte Vecchio there as well. Piazza Vecchio is full of statuary and lively, and the bars and restaurants command a hefty price for refreshment. Given the atmosphere, it's appropriate! The accademia is a few blocks away-you must see David. We recommend the Firenze Card. It costs a bit, but you get into these things quickly and if inclined can take tour buses around the city-worth the cost. We had a great time in Florence and at this apartment and will recommend to our family and friends. If we return to Florence, it will be our first choice!"

  • Rooms with a View

"WOW! We had a hard time believing this place could be all it looked like on-line. I can tell you it was EVERYTHING it claimed to be! To be able to stay at such a fabulous address, overlooking the Arno and the Ponte Vechhio, was simply stunning. The master bed and sleeper sofa were super comfy(2 of us in each). Huge closet in master. Washing machine worked great. Kitchen set up was just fine though we rarely used it because there were so many great eats right outside our door. Walking distance to absolutely everything. Great, thick windows could leave open to hear the sounds of the city OR close them and hear nothing. Stayed when temps reached 90 degrees but very pleasant inside apartment. Lastly, Marusca met us at the apartment, was timely in answering questions, and gave us suggestions for where to eat. Would absolutely stay here again!"
