  • Perfect Place

"Our stay in this apartment in Spello was really great. The apartment is situated only a block from the main square, where you can find shops, grocery stores, banks and the post office. The apartment is as cute as it looks in the pictures, with a brick vaulted ceiling that was built centuries ago. The bed and the chairs were very comfortable (we slept like babies). The flat screen TV and the Wifi worked great the entire time. Views of the Umbrian countryside from the large patio were as advertised! The bathroom and shower are a bit tight but were perfectly adequate for us, with good water pressure and fixtures. The kitchen is adequately supplied and made us feel like real Italian residents. We can’t say enough about Roberto, the owner of this property. He was totally helpful and congenial in every way. We are so glad we picked Spello for our extended stay. The convenient train station allowed us to reach many hill towns. It is just the right mix of locals and tourists to give the amenities you want (restaurants, shops, sights) while feeling like a local. And, it has that medieval feeling you want from an Umbrian hill town!"

  • Wonderful Vacation Home

"One word: Perfection. This Villa is a gem. The setting is wonderful, relaxing, and helps create the perfect vacation. We used the farm house as our home base for easy day trips to Orvieto, Rome, Florence, and Cinque Terre and absolutely loved coming back "home" to it every night. Torre San Severino is a quaint village and Bruno's market has everything for enjoying meals on the lovely patio. We sat by the pool each morning and soaked up the beautiful views. Can't wait to return."

  • What a fantastic and breathtaking view

"The villa was perfect for our needs including every facility necessary for a comfortable stay, the photos don't do the location enough justice as it really is set in the most stunning and breathtaking location - we woke up every morning to the glorious views over lake Trasimeno and thought that life couldn't get any better! The property is clean, maintained and so convenient for both Panicale and Paciano. Above all the lady who manages the property was beyond helpful, a joy to meet and simply able to provide so much valuable help about the local area. I would definitely come back and urge others to explore this amazing region of Umbria."

Citta di Castello Travel Tips

Enjoy Authentic Italy with Città di Castello Accommodations

Any tourist can go to central Italy, staying in an affordable hotel that's cramped with other world-weary guests. But if you want to experience an authentic Italian vacation, why not become a local during your stay? It's possible with Città di Castello vacation rentals, genuine Umbria villas and private houses that provide all the comforts of home.

Città di Castello vacation rentals allow you to enjoy the privacy and comfort of your own full kitchen, multiple bedrooms, eat-in dining, laundry facilities and all the amenities of home without the distraction of bellhops, chamber maids and loud guests in the next room over. You'll get to see and explore Italy the way the Italians do, and then return to your own beautiful, rented Umbria villa.

Explore Italian History and Culture in Umbria

Though sandstone is found locally in large quantities, you'll notice that most of the buildings in Città di Castello are made of brick. Some of the historic buildings, such as the twelfth-century cathedral, are hundreds of years old. Visit the Municipal Gallery in the Palazzo Vitelli alla Cannoniera to view master class paintings, or stroll through the Capitolo Museum to see the dazzling gold pieces on display. To get a real sense of the history and culture of Umbria's Città di Castello, visit the Folk Traditions Centre in Garavelle. The museum provides many artifacts from the Umbria region, which is steeped in ancient history.

Luxurious Living with Città di Castello Vacation Rentals

Città di Castello vacation rentals are an affordable alternative to hotel rooms. Instead of living like a tourist during your stay in Italy, enjoy the comfort of your own Umbria villa. Rent a six bedroom farmhouse villa and bring the whole family, or choose a cozy two bedroom hillside villa to enjoy a more intimate vacation. Some Città di Castello vacation rentals may offer additional amenities, such as private pools, so you can truly live in luxury during your stay.
