"My wife and I have visited Orvieto at least 5 times in the past, beginning in 1998, and this was the first time we had rented an apartment instead of a hotel. We'll never do a hotel again. The apartment was even better than advertised...immaculately clean, well equipped, comfortable and beautifully positioned just a few steps from the Corso Cavour, the main street of beautiful Orvieto. Mandy and her husband were great. They picked us up at the train station, helped us with our bags, carefully explained the details of the apartment and were willing to detail the town's offerings to us even though we'd been many times before. For someone coming to Orvieto and vicinity for the first time, they would be incredibly helpful and would make the stay great. They arranged for a local rental car from Luigi (yes, that's his name!), got Wi-FI set up for us and generally were wonderful hosts. We met the owner of the property who was very nice. The apartment is in the perfect location and we will definitely rent this apartment again and again. We rented over the Christmas holidays so the terrace for dining wasn't useful, but during the warmer months it would be spectacular. This apartment is only steps away from a very nice grocery store and local hand made pasta shop. Orvieto is the perfect size...not too big and not too small with great restaurants, shopping, music venues, art, history, getaway for day trips and the like. What else could anyone want!"

"We had a wonderful stay in Casa di Felicita. We stayed one week in Orvieto and would have loved to stay longer. The city is beautiful and the locals are welcoming and gracious. The town is on a main train stop so travel without a car is very easy. We had come by train from Rome and also went to Florence by rail. We rented a car for additional sightseeing. The apartment is spacious and has all the amenities one could need. Helene was extremely helpful. My only disappointment was that I did not get to meet Helene since she was not in town. That said, she stilled stayed in touch and helped us with all our questions and travel needs. I hope to return but this time I would stay longer. Mille Grazie Helene!"

Villa La Quercia- a truly wonderful Italian experience
"A friend and her extended family vacationed here a few years ago with her new baby girl, and she recommended this beautiful place when I and another co-worker were talking about renting a villa in the Italian countryside. Even with the pictures implanted in our minds during the 2 years of planning our trip, we were pleasantly AMAZED when we arrived to this beautiful place. The stone house resonated with the sounds of the Italian tenors and classics from the music room and provided a movie-like background to the incredible ambiance around the salt water pool and even onto the 2nd floor balcony of the guesthouse where we sipped wine watching the shimmering lake view on the horizon beyond the expansive natural fields and vineyards. 2 of the bedrooms in the main house also have balconies where morning coffee by sunrise was enjoyed. We felt truly "Italian" for a group of 8 French Canadian and Jewish American women ages 50-85 and the meals prepared in the expansive and well appointed kitchen of the lovingly restored farm house provided many an evening of pure Italian delight. Dining under the grape canopy which was teeming with grapes for harvest, to be made into jelly, provided outdoor conversation and connection, complete with a wood fired outdoor pizza oven! And had we had a bit more wine to drink, and were perhaps 20 to 40 years younger, we might have enjoyed the enclosed trampoline on the front lawn. It was hard to leave our home base, but we did, because we were so well located to explore the ancient walled cities and bike the countryside of Umbria and Tuscany, meet the local people who were so gracious and inviting, eat in their fantastic eateries, train to Florence and Rome to explore places previously only read about, and taste the wines during the grape harvest. Our villa was so welcoming to come home to after each day of adventure. Our villa owners are especially attentive to the needs and wants of their guests and in so many ways provide for a worry free and relaxing vacation experience. They truly have the gift of hospitality and have arranged for a team of local caretakers to maintain and tend to the needs of their guests. As this trip was planned as a trip of a lifetime for my 85 year old Mom, I am especially thankful that our villa more than met our highest expectations! Thank you, K. and D."
