  • A fairytale come true!

"We were an extended family visiting Spoleto for 5 days. From the moment we made our reservation Michael was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the area. We arrived late in the day on Saturday and were welcomed as friends. The property, home, and views were amazing. Everyday we awoke we thought we were in a dream. We were comfortable, had plenty of room, and enjoyed every moment. We would not hesitate to return! I agree with previous reviews. The steps to the home are steep and would not recommend it for people with difficulty walking. This may be the only drawback for a few people. Regardless, this home is in great proximity to many Umbrian towns, good food, and wonderful adventures, but you can experience the countryside by staying here. La Dolce Vita best describes our stay at fairytale house. We can not wait to return"

  • Beautiful Apartment in the Spoleto Countryside

"The apartment was very clean, big, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed staying at Florence's Apartment, and she was very responsive and helpful! The neighbor also helped us turn the heat on when it was cold, and loaned us her scale so we could weigh our luggage before flying out. We all agreed, we would love to stay here again!"

  • A wonderful holiday in a lovely unusual house

"Hi Kristine, I would just like to say thankyou once again for sharing your lovely house with us. We had a wonderful time and it was nice to see a slightly different part of Italy to that we have been used to in the past. We tried out some of your restaurant suggestions, it was just a shame that we didn't have longer to experience them all. The ones we did try though lived up to your reviews, it's always nicer to try those that come with recommendations rather than take pot luck in the towns with the more tourist orientated establishments, I thought my favourite was going to be Ristorante al Palazzaccio but then we went to La Trattoria ...........We really wanted to try Ristorante dei Pini but were not brave enough as our Italian is not up to much, we try hard but felt that was a bridge too far !! Maybe next year. As you know, and we found out, Bianca is probably the best welcoming party any guest could ever hope for. She was always willing to help with whatever little questions we had and made our stay very easy. Thankyou."

  • Unforgettable

"This is a special house that is meticulously clean and beautifully appointed. Everything is as pictured, but no picture can record the intangibles about this property. It has been lived in by people who love it and is greater than the sum of its parts. If you love art, color, and living in the clouds this is the place for you. La Torre is high above the valley with a stunning view of Spoleto across the gorge. I rented for two weeks and had two friends join me for nine days. It was perfect for the three of us as house is on three levels with a good bit of privacy. I also felt safe on the days that i was there alone. There is a hot tub surrounded on two sides by rosemary and lavender cascading down the wall. There is always room on the terrace for visitors, dinner, or just relaxing. Be ready to climb a bit but we all stayed without a car as Spoleto is only a 20 minute walk through the woods and across the aquaduct. In addition to art, there is a dwindling collection of CDs with includes John Coltrane's Coltrane Plays the Blues. Every evening we would pop in the music and watch the clouds shift and occasional rain on the horizon, on top of the world in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Be ready to walk and climb, there is a lot to see and do in every direction. The driveway is a challenge that I did not face as we walked down to the train station almost every day to head out to neighboring hill towns."
