  • An authentic Italian experience!

"16 family members spent an idyllic month in Villa Tre Grazie and LOVED it. The hill town of Todi is a short drive away or a long walk past glorious fields of sunflowers. There is a new, well stocked supermarket in town. The 16th century Villa has lots of history yet it has been updated nicely with modern appliances, etc. The furniture is plentiful and comfortable. There are 2 kitchens, the lower one is ideal for preparing dinners eaten out under the covered patio without having to use any stairs. There are multiple floors and therefore multiple stairs. The pool is large and the views expansive. The small chapel is very special! The country location is private, with a gated entry. The property manager was extemely helpful and dinners and private parties (like a special pizza night) were easy to arrange. Do not miss Civita de Baggnoreggio near Orvieto as it is unlike anything I've experienced in Italy! I've traveled extensively but will ALWAYS remember this special place!"

  • A Taste of Heaven

"What does one say when you come across a physical space that embraces you, renews you and makes it oh so easy to live. Il Conventaccio is a most special and remarkable place to be. I cannot thank the owners sufficiently for the care and effort and vision they had in restoring this 12 century convent property from it ruinous state into the elegant and comfortable home that they have. From the minute you arrive you can only gasp at the beauty of the entire surroundings as you sense the peacefulness within the walls and throughout the land on which it sits. Five of us had ventured from the US for a two week respite and we found a taste of heaven. There is nothing in Conventaccio that was done without great thought and in the most exquisite of tastes. The area is charming and enchanting as one of the many hill towns with its own unique individual history and storied past. All that you read regarding the home's spaciousness and comfort is true but the words cannot capture the deep sense of place and peace it evokes as you spend time there. The mornings are simply wonderful as you awake to the dawn and the sun shows its face, the birds sing, and the neighboring bells begin their toll. You arise to see a stunningly beautiful Umbrian landscape from your window which is calling you to greet another beautiful day in Umbria. Simply breathtaking and the owners have many kind recommendations along with the gracious assistance of their caretaker which makes your stay at Conventaccio so very easy and one which will beckon you to return. WOW"

  • A Special Place

"The views and the sense of rural quiet were exceptional. I particularly enjoyed sitting out on the terrace off of the kitchen with my first cup of coffee, listening to the pheasants calling and gazing across the tilled fields, the olive groves, the rows of vines to San Damiano up on its ridge. Once again, what a special place you have found."
