"This is a grand house, with the best showers in all of Europe. The view is amazing, of course, and all of the bedrooms are very nice. We love to cook, and the kitchen is a pleasure. We made use of Mrs. Giuliana to come for two hours to clean up for us in the evening--well worth the money--the fun of cooking, without the bother of cleaning up.
It is fun as you drive around the Todi area to be able to see "your" red house from many places.
There are two driveways, but the one that comes from the west and leads to the kitchen is the best for unloading food and luggage. But there is room for only one car there, so use it sparingly.
Walking along the road below the property is very nice--just remember you have to climb back up!
We went to a restaurant called Fiorefiore on the other side of Todi for our 'farewell lunch" on the Friday. They did good job for us 11 people, and we sat outside on the shady side of the building.
I would be happy to answer any questions from potential renters. We already have told friends about LacasaRossa and they are thinking of getting a party together for next year."

"We have been to Umbria staying in Todi 3 times previously. The home we usually stayed in was not available and we were recommended to this home by someone we trust. It was fabulous! Our party was a group of 3 couples and 1 single person. Each of us had a wonderful en-suite room all with breathtaking views. The views, the pool, the space is incredible. It is an amazing value. And, the daily maid service by the charming local person was a major plus. You are away from everything but so close to Assisi, Florence, Orvietto and Deruta. The perfect location for day trips or days of relaxing in the well designed and placed gardens, pool, loggias, and walking spaces. Every creature comfort was available and even the gardener made sure his work was not going to interrupt our days of leisure. We will be back. It's like Heaven on Earth."

"A perfect holiday villa although a bit remote. The villa and swimming pool were excellent. Lots of interesting places to visit. My granddaughter loved the chickens and this was the highlight of her time there. Loved feeding them. The villa was excellent and we were very satisfied with the accommodation. My thanks to our lovely hosts."

"We visited here in June and weather was great! We only had 2 couples at the house and it was very nice to enjoy the area and the house itself. It was nice to have the windows open and night and hear the various birds through the night and early morning. Yes that is a cuckoo bird you hear. Be sure to plan time in your stay to just relax and enjoy it. We made some great pizza in the stone oven. Several good cookbooks supplied that you can have some fun cooking and still experience some good Italian food and wine. Would love to return to the area again. We were able to do a few 'day' trips to Assisi, Orvieto and of course Todi. We had read on one of the posts about Daruta for the ceramics and that is a nice little adventure to shop. Some really nice cantinas to experience some of the local wines. First class accommodations. I am glad we were able to stay here on our first visit to the region. We hope to be back and bring more friends and family to enjoy the house and the area. As far as transportation you will need a car in this area. Highly recommend and all-wheel drive auto if you can get one to help navigate the gravel roads."
