"The listing for this beautiful property was clear and comprehensive with a wide selection of accurate photographs. Twice a week cleaning and change of linen in the spacious and well equipped bathrooms and pretty bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a large table to seat 8, leading into an elegant drawing room with a wide selection of CDs and DVDs, made this a most comfortable and luxurious place for our family of 9 to stay. An extra bed was provided for the ninth person. The large garden of many acres is full of playful statues, the canal and Colombaia perfect for picnics and a football pitch and where we had freedom to walk and picnic at will. The private garden with swimming pool was perfect for us all, including two small children, with lots of sunbeds, a shady table, towels and toys. The Loggia is a delightful place for lunching and drinks, and lots of parking. Our hosts were charming and so helpful and kind and keen that we should feel totally at home in their delightful house. This is a particularly relaxed and welcoming place to stay. There are all the obvious places to visit but the local villages and Treviso are worth exploring. For anyone interested in the history of the Veneto and to experience a Palladian villa at first hand this is the place to stay. We loved it and would highly recommend it."

  • Venice--the last stop in our excellent adventure

"Venice was the last stay in our Italian adventure. Our cousin and son had already gone home, so it was just the two of us in Venice. We had visited Venice a number of times before, staying around St. Marco, so it was fun to take an apartment in an area away from the tourist crowds. Everything went like clockwork from the start. The greeter was prompt, friendly and very helpful. The apartment is in a terrific location, right next to the Ca Rezzonico vaporetto stop. We loved being in the Dorsoduro neighborhood with its museums, churches, little shops and many restaurants: the Taverna San Trovaso near the Accademia was a particular favorite. Otherwise, it was great fun walking around and figuring how to access and visit other sestieri in Venice. By the end of the week we were quite proud when we could make our way all around the City without a map. The quirkiness of the apartment was definitely part of the charm. Being able to walk to the outside door with the wrought iron animal knocker, use a key and slip in from the calle felt like a privilege and made us feel part of the neighborhood. We loved hearing the boat traffic right under the windows. What a treat to look out above the rooftops in the morning to check out the weather and to see the Grand Canal. The bed was very comfortable, although we would suggest having a reading lamp and chair in the living room located a bit away from the TV. By the way, the Alilaguna boat which goes to the airport also stops at the Ca Rezzonico vaporetto stop; so transit in and out of the City could not be more convenient. I would be happy to recommend this apartment to our friends. Thank you Italy Perfect for your expertise, patience and help planning our trip."
