  • Perfect in every way!

"My husband and I stayed in this fabulous apartment to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We found it to be "perfect" in every way. We loved the location, away from the crowds, in a wonderful little neighborhood with grocery store, restaurants and everything we needed. The apartment itself was well equipped, immaculately clean, good strong wifi, and everything you could possibly need to prepare meals which we did each night while we were there. Very comfortable bed. Close to Vapretto stop, just off the beaten "tourist" track. We will definitely try to stay here again when we next visit Venice."

  • Look no further. This is the perfect location in Venice.

"We stayed here for a week at the end of July -August. This is THE perfect place to stay to explore Venice. The apartment is only 5 minutes walk from the bus stations from the airport - only 3 or 4 bridges with your suitcases. The apartment is spotlessly clean and newly refurbished. It is very quiet with the windows closed and the air conditioning took only minutes to cool the whole apartment and was also exceptionally quiet. Our host Sebastiano met us at the apartment and explained everything. He gave us a map with restaurant suggestions which we tried. This is gold for anyone who is new to a place and wants to find places away from the tourist area where locals eat. These restuarants were wonderful! Sebastiano also greeted us with local biscotti and a bottle of cold Prosecco! This is the best apartment we have rented in the world so far and very reasonably priced. No wonder people come back here year after year. Thank you Sebastiano for making our first trip to Venice such a perfect and memorable one. I hope we too can return one day."

  • Ideal Location

"My husband and I stayed for one week and enjoyed every minute! Perfect location, 5 minute walk to the Vaporetto stop to go everywhere in Venice. Quiet, residential area and yes, right on a canal! Lovely homey decor, comfortable bed and couch. Kitchen is perfectly equipped and great size for two. Across the Grand Canal from the Rialto Market for fresh fish and produce. Shops, restaurants and gelato within 5 minutes. Also a 10 minute walk to the lagoon for boat trips to Burano (we loved it) and Murano. Washing machine a real plus and we actually hung our laundry to dry outside! Air conditioner worked great. TV in bedroom only but we were so busy we never turned it on. Fabulous week in Venice, you really can walk everywhere from this apartment or take the convenient Vaporetto."

  • Ideal location. Enchanting views

"The spacious apartment is directly accessible by water taxi from the airport.(a huge plus even if you are traveling light). The views of the Grand Canal are addictive. Both the 1 & 2 vaporetto stops are near by plus the canal crossing gondola. The main attractions can also be easily reached on foot. The owner and assistants were available. The owner called from Paris to inquire of any needs or questions. The apartment is well appointed and comfortable. We were very pleased and satisfied with our stay."

Venice Travel Tips

Getting to Venice

Venice is a well-known European vacation destination located on the northwestern coast of Italy. Known for its waterways and magnificent architecture, it is a city that is easily accessible by land, air and sea. The Marco Polo International Airport is located approximately four miles outside the city center. The airport hosts most major European airlines as well as other international airlines on regularly scheduled daily flights. There are also several low-cost regional European airlines that have frequent flights into Venice.

If traveling from North America or other parts of the world, you may need to route via Rome, Milan, Frankfurt, London or one of the other major European hubs. If you are already in Europe, you may consider driving or traveling by train to Venice. There is good road access with a number of main highways and arterial roads. There is an extensive rail network that links Venice with the rest of Italy and Europe. High-speed intercity trains are a convenient way to travel and often more affordable than flying. Venice is a major European cruise port. Many cruise ships start and end their itineraries in Venice. Others simply stop off for a few days before moving down the coast to other Mediterranean destinations. Smaller private yachts often dock in Venice; if you have your own tender, you can independently explore some of the canals.

Benefits of Staying in Venice Apartments

Venice is the type of city you want to be able to explore at your own pace. There are so many different places of interest, including beautiful churches, canal-side cafés, museums and art galleries. Staying in a vacation home allows you to get a glimpse of the real Venice. Tucked away in side streets, above bakeries or bookshops, the apartments are often quite compact but still comfortable. Furnished in elegant Italian style, it’s like having your own private hotel suite, except it’s more affordable and has a kitchen so you can do your own catering. Shop for groceries at the local store and get freshly baked bread, cheeses and cold meats from the local deli. By the end of your stay, you may never want to leave.

Venice Travel Attractions

It’s difficult to take in all of Venice’s attractions unless you plan an extended stay in the city. There are a number of historic landmarks that are must-sees and some Venetian activities you must do. Most people associate Venice with romantic gondola rides through the canals. While they may seem a little touristy and they are quite expensive, they are still worth every cent, especially if you have that special person sitting next to you. The Piazza San Marco is a place where locals and tourists gather en mass during the warmer summer months. There are a number of expensive cafés and restaurants where you can enjoy a cup of coffee. The Basilica Di San Marco is a cathedral located just off the square and a magnificent example of Byzantine architecture. It is a place that houses many religious relics plundered during the Crusades. The Grande Canal is Venice’s main waterway. There are ferries and cruises that can take you up its 2.5-mile length. The ferries stop at various points on either side of the canal. There are a number of bridges that cross the canal. The most famous is the Ponte di Rialto which dates back to 1591. For more than two centuries, it was the only pedestrian bridge across the canal. This area houses many shops and food stores, and is great for browsing.
