  • Venice Apartment

"My wife and I stayed in another apartment owned by the same person in the same building as this apartment (on second floor). The apartment was charming and a fantastic location - literally minutes from St. Mark's Square. There is a wonderful grocery store at the end of the street with fresh meats, cheeses and even cooked items. We were able to eat breakfast and lunch "in" and enjoy dinners out. The only reason we did not give 5 stars is the wi-fi connection was extremely spotty and often we could not get a connection. Also, although the windows are lovely to keep open, there are no screens and lots of mosquitoes in Venice, so, beware if you are a mosquito magnet - Bring some bug spray. Finally, there were only two drinking glasses and no wine glasses and we could have used more than two towels each for the 5 nights we were there. None of this hampered our wonderful visit but a few little improvements would have made it even nicer."

  • Attentive and caring hosts, spotless, safe and very convenient

"My adult daughter and I have been using VRBO for years when we travel to Europe. One of my main criteria is that the property is Owner Operated. This often makes for a great personal experience. But Isabella and her 2 daughters, Sara and Eliza, have taken this whole concept to a higher level. They simply do everything they can to ensure that you have a happy and worry free stay. You could not ask for better hosts. We would happily return . The apartment is quiet, nicely furnished, spotless and well maintained. Everything that you need is in the apartment and working properly. The washer was a great help and we were able to do 3 loads of laundry and dry them on a big rack on the enclosed patio. The #10 bus is just across the street and you can buy bus tickets at the tobacco shop on the little street just behind Corso Milano. This was an easy and fast way to get to the train station to visit Verona, Vicenza and Venice. The city center is close by. We could walk there in 15 minutes. Padova is also a lovely city to visit. Namely, St Anthony's Basilica and the Scrovegni Chapel for the Giotto frescos. This does require a reservation. Another fun thing to do in Padova is to visit the Café Pedrocchi in the city center for a drink or breakfast. Beautiful Neoclassical building and a fun experience. This is a great location to explore the Veneto. It was so nice to return to Padova and our Al Corso haven after an exhausting day of sightseeing. Thank you so much, Isabella, Sara and Eliza."
