  • You can't beat this location!

"My husband and I stayed here for 5 days. The flat was comfortable and very clean and well equiped. We were able to walk EVERYWHERE! The Pompidou Center is around the corner and all the major sites are within 10-15 minutes walk. There are enough restaurants and cafes nearby to eat at a different place everyday of the year. On several occasions we took a cab. The one thing that we needed to do was to write the address on paper for the cab drivers, so they could find the street on their GPS. One of the times I had to point out the location on the map for the driver. The street is a quiet little place in the midst of the Marais section. My recommendation would be that they make a step stool available in the flat since the kitchen cabinets are very high and it is nearly impossible to reach some of the dishes and glasses without standing on something. Luckily, my husband was tall enough to get us down the wine glasses!"

  • Meravigloso.....

Arrivederci."

  • Home Away From Home in Bonnieux

"This beautiful home in Bonnieux is perfect in every sense. It is spacious (4 levels), warm, cosy and central to Bonnieux and the rest of Provence. The owner's communication was excellent and everything was as shown, and as expected. The views from the roof top terrace and bedroom are spectacular. Plenty of good restaurants nearby and bakeries etc. Housebook had so much information in it; also lots of maps, books on Provence. Highly recommended."

  • The Perfect Apartment!

"We had a great time in Paris & loved this very French style apartment on a quiet residential street. The Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe & the Eiffel Tower were all within easy walking distance. The farmers market supplied us with the best fruits & vegetables I ever tasted, the bakery right downstairs had wonderful baguette sandwiches & the Spanish restaurant next door was fabulous! Also within a 2 block radius there were a least 5 other places to eat. Will definitely stay here again if we come back."

Monaco Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit Monaco Vacation Rentals

Because of its location of the Mediterranean Sea, Monaco enjoys a mild year-round climate. The summer months are warm and dry with most rainfall occurring during the cooler winter season. In summertime, the days are typically long and warm which is ideal for lazing on the beaches or enjoying a leisurely cruise. The main travel season starts from May and lasts until September. The peak season is during July and August. If you plan to travel at this time of year, you need to make your reservations well in advance.

Luxurious Monaco Lodging

There are few things in Monaco that aren't luxurious and the vacation homes are no exception. Most rentals available in Monaco are stylish apartments that overlook the Mediterranean Sea. The apartments are conveniently located near most major attractions and within easy walking distance to the retail outlets and restaurants. You can expect stylish furnishings that are arranged with understated elegance.

Monaco Travel Attractions

Monaco is a travel destination that is associated with high society, royalty and glamorous lifestyles. The main attractions and activities are socializing, lazing in the Mediterranean sun and enjoying some leisurely water sports such as sailing, Jet Skiing or boating. Monte Carlo is famous for its casinos where high rollers play and are entertained. When walking down the streets, you can browse through boutique and designer stores and make sure that you are current with the latest fashions. Sip cocktails on the deck of luxury yacht as you enjoy a late afternoon cruise. Then spend the evenings at the glamorous nightspots along with Europe's elite.

Monaco has some interesting historical sites and beautiful buildings. The Prince's Palace is where the royal family resides. It was built on the site of an ancient fortress. The courthouse is an ornate palace that was built in 1924. Perhaps one of the most well-known buildings is the Monte Carlo Casino and Opera House. It was built in 1893 by Charles Garnier, the same architect that built the Paris Opera House. The Saint Devote Church is a small chapel in the center of the city. A more ornate building is the Monaco Cathedral which was built in 1875. Build almost entirely from white stone, it is an intricate Roman Byzantine design. It includes the royal crypt where past sovereigns such as Prince Rainier and Princess Grace have been laid to rest. Fort Antoine is an 18th-century fortress that was destroyed in 1944. It was partially rebuilt in 1953 and is now an open-air theater. Some of the museums include maritime exhibits as well as a royal vintage car collection. Royal archives and family history can be seen at the Napoleonic Museum.

Traveling to Monaco

Monaco is the world's second smallest independent principality after the Vatican City. It covers an area of just 1.6 square kilometers and is located on the French Mediterranean Coast just a short distance from the Italian border. The nearest major international airport is the Nice Cote d' Azur International Airport in France which is just a short drive from Monaco. The airport host flights from more than 86 different international destinations. If traveling from North America, you may first need to route via one of the other major European travel hubs such as Paris or Milan. Many visitors to Monaco will get a helicopter transfer from Nice's airport. In fact, Monoco has one of the most impressive heliports in Europe. Monte Carlo also has an expansive marina where many luxury yachts and cruisers are moored. Many travelers stop in at Monaco as part of a Mediterranean cruise.
