  • Marnixade Apartment in the Jordaan

"This apartment is wonderful - a great location in the beautiful Jordaan. A lovely apartment overlooking a canal with great restaurants nearby in the picturesque Jordaan. Bruce was a great host - upon arrival you will find a fully stocked fridge, wine, snacks, fresh fruit and flowers. There is also a washer/dryer and dishwasher and detergents to make full use of them. Bruce has plenty of info and maps and he is very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. We would definitely stay here again. The Jordaan is among the most beautiful parts of the city, quiet and only a 5 minute walk to lively Prinsengracht. We had a great time!"

  • Great!

"The apartment was perfect! Nice and quiet but with easy access to all parts of Amsterdam. My boyfriend and I stayed for five days in June and the only thing we can complain about is that the bed is TOO comfortable (we ended up sleeping in a few too many times)! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to all my friends."

  • Week stay at well located Canal basement apartment

"The location was very central to museums and sights. A bit of a walk from the train station but there are public transportation options. The entry and washer/dryer in the basement is common for the apartments above but the bedroom/bath is lockable & private. The kitchen (sink, ref, hotplate) is in between these 2 areas. There is a back door to a nice garden area off the bedroom. This door and a window does provide quite a bit of light. A curtain on the window would be helpful as the morning sunlight shines in. Wi-Fi does not work in this room but there is wired internet. No TV. The ceilings are quite low so beware if you are about 5'9" or taller. The bathtub/shower has a bit less head clearance in the beam areas. The sauna serves double duty as the closet. Not for someone looking for a modern, luxurious place to stay but it was great for me: private, clean, comfortable, quiet, and centrally located. The host was very nice and pleasant."
