  • Great stay

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at this residence for the second time and thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days there. We did buy a 7 day bus/tram pass but the location is so central to most attractions that we found we could have done without it. Most attractions are within 20 to 30 minutes walk away. This is a heritage ("monumental") house but it has been renovated to preserve the historical flavour of the residence while providing up dated amenities. All necessities are provided although there is no land line--bring your mobile device. As mentioned by others the view from the living room windows is fascinating. There are a number of options in getting from the airport: the Airport Express bus drops off at Leidseplein ( a short walk from the house, taxi costs around E45 and takes about 25 minutes or you can take the train from the airport to the Centraal Station and a tram or cab from there (not recommended if you have a lot of luggage). Michelle and Ivan are wonderful hosts."

  • The Perfect Vacation Spot!

"First stop Amsterdam and the Prins & Brouwer. Who needs a hotel room when you have a luxury houseboat with all the comforts of home. 5 adults shared the Prins & Bouwer for 4 wonderful nights. Spacious, appointed and comfortable! We all loved it! After a day of sightseeing we enjoyed lounging on the deck, enjoying some wine and our fish & chips. You cannot beat a houseboat in Amsterdam and this one has it all. Superb location! Thank you Renee!"

  • Wonderful Apartment

"My husband and I recently stayed in this beautiful apartment for 4 nights. This apartment presents even better than in the pictures on line. It is immaculately clean and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed coming back in the evening after a busy day of sightseeing. The apartment is well situated with lots of good restaurants nearby and easily accessible transit. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Amsterdam."

  • Family Stay in Early July

"My family (wife and two teenage daughters) and I stayed in here for six nights. The place is clean, comfortable, safe, and I think is actually bigger than it looks in the pictures. The location cannot be better. For those with Rick Steve's Amsterdam book, it is on his "walk through Jordan" tour just down from the Electric Ladyland (worth the visit although I didn't expect it to be). The street is quiet with an excellent Afghani restaurant just across the street and another excellent restaurant down the street called De Reiger (and recommended in Rick Steve's book, although we didn't know that until after we ate there.) The house is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Anne Frank House and the tram stops (the easiest way to get around town for the tired tourist). The house was redone not too long ago, so the stove, dishwasher, and the kitchen ware are all like new. It also has a washer and dryer that either isn't advertised or I missed it when booking, so that was a nice surprise. Rick was very welcoming and waited for us to arrive even though we were delayed due to traffic and wrong turns. He showed us around the house; pointed out the nearby restaurants, pubs, and the quickest way to tram stops; gave us information on his favorite Indonesian restaurant (try to make time for it); and arranged for a taxi to the airport (for four, it is about the same cost as public transportation) when it was time to leave. He was available for questions during the week, if necessary. He even mailed my daughter's lanyard that she left to us in the US. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay."
