  • Wonderful apartment. Great location. Perfect stay

"My family and I had spent only one night in Cracow but it was such a great experience. The apartment has underground, secure garage which in old town area is like a win in a lottery. Once in the apartment, you don’t need a car at all. Everything is in the walking distance. Wawel castle, main square (Rynek), many beautiful churches and great restaurants are just minutes away from the apartment. Across the street we found a bakery with fresh local pastries and breads that were very delicious. Every room in this apartment is air-conditioned. This was especially useful when after full day of sightseeing during a hot day we had returned to the nice comfortable, clean and cool apartment. At night we used the high speed internet to connect with our friends back home on skype. The wifi in this apartment works great. We loved our stay in Cracow and are planning to come back to this beautiful city and great apartment."

  • Owner and Manager went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable...

"You can read the other reviews to see all the reasons you should choose La Boheme so I won't be redundant. However, what makes this place special is the care and attention to the details. When I talked the owner a week before our arrival Danielle she informed me the washer/dryer wasn't working, and she wasn't sure she could replace it in time. She told me there was a laundry close by, so it didn't seem to be a deal breaker. But when the manager met us he said that Danielle agreed to pay to have our clothes cleaned. We left them out and the manager picked them up while we were sightseeing and returned them the next day folded and clean. When I told Guillaume (manager) that the lighting was terrible for reading and there were too few drinking glasses for 4 people, we found bulbs replaced, a bedside reading light and two boxes of new drinking glasses. I call that amazing service... the difference between an owner who is renting and one who is a true owner/host. Bravo Danielle!"

Russia Travel Tips

Visitors to Russia Vacation Rentals

For many years, Russia was closed off to international travelers. When visitors were granted visas, their travel was usually restricted to business travel and organized guided tours. In recent decades, changes in the Russian government have led to the relaxation of travel policies. While travel in Russia is not as easy as in other parts of the world, it is a destination that has become far more accessible to international travelers. Russia is a destination for culture and history enthusiasts. People who will appreciate the country's attractions are those who have read up on the nation's turbulent history and are familiar with the different political figures and government policies. Russia encompasses a vast and varying landscape. There are many natural attractions for those interested in exploring.

Getting to Your Russia Lodging Destination

The main air hub into Russia is Moscow which is served by three international airports. The largest and busiest of these is Domodedovo International Airport, located 23 miles southeast of Moscow's city center. It is also the country's most modern airport and the only one capable of hosting the larger jumbo jets. The majority of international carriers use this airport to transport passengers to Moscow. Domodedovo International Airport has regular commercial flight connections with almost all continents, including Australia and Africa. For some long-haul destinations, travelers may need to route via major cities in Europe or the Far East, and from there get an onward connection to Moscow. The other two airports near Moscow are the older Sheremetyevo International Airport, located 18 miles northwest of the city and Vnukovo International Airport, located 17 miles southwest of Moscow. These two airports serve primarily domestic and regional destinations in Asia.

Best Time of Year to Visit Russia

Russia has a cold continental climate with extreme freezing temperatures in winter and a short and mild summer. Unless you don't mind the icy weather, it is recommended to travel during the warmer summer months of June, July and August. This is also the peak travel season in Russia so it is advisable to make your travel plans well in advance and have some sort of structure to your tour itinerary.
