  • Perfect stay except it was too short.

"We loved this little apartment in Grassmarket. We were met by Vivienne who is extremely accommodating and welcoming. She provided us with a welcome basket including a bottle of wine. The views are just fantastic from the apartment. We could walk to almost everywhere we wanted to see and throughly enjoyed our stay. I can recommend this property without reservation. We had a grand time in this most visually stunning city. My favorite city in Europe for the visuals alone as the castle dominates the vista for miles around overlooking the most beautiful park and the Firth of Forth. A quick day trip to the highlands and Sterling Castle and Wallace monument is a must once you have explored the city."

  • Wonderful week!

"Perfect location. Close to downtown yet on a quiet street. Close to public transportation including tram to airport. Very kind and helpful owners. Very reasonably priced. Comfortably furnished. I was traveling alone yet it would be equally comfortable with two guests. Would definitely stay here again."

  • Lovely Georgian Flat - Historic setting Edinburgh

"We rented this flat during our visit to the Fringe festival this year. It was a bit of a hike- at least 25 minutes to the main venues, but we truly liked being out of the fray since we were there for 9 nights. The apartment is lovely- high ceilings, beautifully decorated and enough kitchen supplies for the light cooking we did in the am and an occasional lunch. We really liked the fact that the owner also provided soap for the laundry and dishwasher, the sink and bathrooms and a nice welcome package of local specialties. Tea and coffee were on hand and the basics which was so appreciated! so hard to stock everyone's apartment when you are traveling. We left goodies in return- Olive oil, nice shampoos from hotels etc. The front room was a bit noisy on the cobblestone street but we were grateful for the extra bed as the two other bedrooms in back have queen or king sized beds. The neighborhood is quiet with upscale restaurants and small markets are easily accessible. This year it was a rainy Fringe, but the days that I didn't feel like walking in the downpour I was happy staying at the apartment and working as it was peaceful and charming. The owner was lovely and accessible via email and Natasha (apartment manager) was readily available, though we never had to call her! The WIFI worked very well, and the neighbors were fairly quiet (and we returned that favor to them!). Would go back in a heart beat! I would recommend this for people who like to walk and are respectful of furniture and high end apartments. I would not suggest this for young children as there are delicate lamps and it is a quiet building- also the walk would be too far for them- but the park is close! Well- behaved teens are great here as they usually don't mind the walk to center of Edinburgh either. Ideal for active older people. Taxis cost about £6.50 GBP to the castle area up on the hill."

  • Fabulous apartment.

"We were two couples travelling together. This apartment was fabulous for us. The apartment was beautifully appointed, the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need. The location was great, a 15 minute or so walk to the city centre, although, while we were there, it was a bit wet on a few occasions, and a cab was just £5 to or from the main tourist areas. We cooked a few meals, and it was very easily done in the well appointed kitchen. The information given before our arrival was the best I have ever had, and our security deposit was returned very promptly. I would absolutely recommend this apartment."
