  • Wonderful little apartment in a super location

"Ranpal was excellent to deal with, he responded to questions promptly and even e-mailed us a map so we could walk to the apartment from Atocha. The apartment is in a great location, we loved the area and it is within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Most importantly, the apartment is very quiet; even though the streets are bustling all night long on the weekend, we slept soundly. The kitchen was great, outfitted with everything we needed as we love to shop locally for food and cook. WiFi was fast and reliable and an information binder is left for guests with clear instructions with regard to the apartment and there was travel information as well. I highly recommend this apartment."

Andalucia Travel Tips

Fly to Madrid, then to Malaga, Savilla or Jerez to arrive in the heart of the Andalucia region. The region attracts visitors to Andalucia vacation rentals with its year-round warm weather, history, beaches and adventures. As with most European countries other than the United Kingdom, the currency is the Euro.

The region of Andalucia is located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula and divided into eight provinces--Almeria, Cadiz, Cordoba, Grenada, Huelva, Jaen, Malaga, and Seville. Its capital is the stunning city of Sevilla. From here, visitors often visit the island of Gibraltar which is a British territory that shares a small border with the Cadiz province. The region has a unique culture, influenced by its rich history including "Moorish" Muslim, Iberian, Greek, and Roman, all of which have dominated this area in its past. Its unique culture includes the world-famous flamenco music and dance, bullfighting and an architecture that shows its Moorish influence.

The Stunning Cities of Andalucia

Most visitors to Andalucia vacation rentals will choose to visit the capital Sivilla for its wealth of history and incredible architecture. The city, one of the largest historical centers in Europe, sits on the Guadalquivir River. This spectacular city was, according to legend, founded by Hercules. Visitors here should take the opportunity to see the Alcazar Palace, Torre Del Oro and the Town Hall. Of interest to Americans will be the Archive of the Indies, in which the historical records of the American continent are stored. The city also boasts a variety of convents, churches and palaces. It is a lively city by both day and by night.

The hilltop city of Jaen is found on one of winding streets filled with fascinating architecture that snake out from the cathedral at its center. From its humble beginning as a trading post in 1100 BC, the ancient city of Cadiz is set on a peninsula and mainly surrounded by water. Visitors here can see the remains of the 18th-century walls that originally kept the city safe. Certainly the most charming part of this city is its old quarter. The Moorish city of Jerez has its own unique charm, with wide streets and lively town squares. It is the home of brandy and sherry and to some of the most beautiful horses in the world. Its other famous exports are Flamenco music and dance. While here, horse-lovers should visit the world-renowned Andalusian School of Equestrian Art.

A Shopping Experience Like no Other Awaits Visitors to Andalucia Villas

From Andalucia villas, visitors will enjoy the many opportunities to buy unique gifts and souvenirs, from high-quality glassware with beautiful Moorish patterns and Tiffany-style lamps to simply stunning silver and gold jewelry, this region is a shopper’s paradise. The area of Cordoba is Spain’s leader in gold and silver, and this city is scattered with small workshops offering unique designs. For leather goods, head to Ubrique in Cadiz province where visitors can buy handmade boots, bags and purses.

Visitors will find dining out in the region a real treat with everything from the local tapas bars to international quality dining all within easy reach of your Andalucia accommodation.
