  • Great Stay

"Wonderful stay in Barcelona. Jose was terrific, very helpful and friendly. The apartment had everything we needed and the location was great, very close to the metro which will get you everywhere. Jose was a pleasure to deal with and I highly recommend staying with him"

  • Perfect apartment in Barcelona

"We really enjoyed our one week stay in this suite in Barcelona. It was just as described and very comfortable for us. The terrace was wonderful and we spent evenings relaxing on it as we looked over the city. We enjoyed the location of the apartment. It was in a much less touristy location in Barcelona, yet we were able to walk to many of the tourist hot spots within minutes. The Metro was close and easy to use. The restaurants in the area were great and we enjoyed the neighbourhood. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone who wants to be away from the crowds but close enough to the action."

  • Great apartment in the Barri Gotic!

"Our family of 2 "mature" parents and 2 20-something children found this apartment so comfortable and convenient for our visit to Barcelona! From the outset, Elizabeth answered my many emails promptly and thoroughly. I was traveling alone to meet my family and the taxi driver let me off a block away. However, Inez was waiting outside the apartment building--it was helpful to have checked the address on Google Earth; that made it a lot easier to find. She was also a good sport, helping me carry a rather large suitcase up the 3 flights of stairs! Inez provided all the needed info about the apartment and places to get coffee in the morning and groceries. The apartment itself was clean and spacious and very comfortable--the hammock was a popular spot! We also used the 2 balconies facing the plaza; in the late afternoons, people gathered there for the 2 restaurants downstairs and a musician was playing a very nice guitar. The washing machine was quite handy since my husband and sons had walked the first part of the Camino de Santiago. While there isn't a dryer, it was easy to hang out clothes on the balcony while we were off sightseeing. We used the kitchen in the morning to make tea and bought a few groceries for snacks in the afternoon. There were plenty of restaurants in the area--we ate at a Japanese place right around the corner, Matsuri (sp?) and lots of little places in between the apartment and the Plaza Jaume. We walked to everything--the beach, museums, the Born area, etc. and only used a taxi to get to Familia Sagrada because it was raining. Our sons even caught the train back to the airport from the Plaza Catalunya. Of note, the hallway is a little intimidating--very old and dark, especially at night. After our first night out, it was pretty scary climbing up the stairs in the dark. We discovered the hall light just inside the outer door the next morning. If we are ever lucky enough to get back to Barcelona, I wouldn't hesitate to arrange for this apartment again!"

  • Beautiful Appartment five minutes from the beach.

"My husband and I and another couple stayed here in end of August - beginning of September. This is a beautiful apartment living room (with fold out couch) and kitchen and one bathroom with shower on first floor; two bedrooms with a bathroom with shower upstairs, and a terrace on the third level. Lydia, the owner, was very nice and accomodating, she was very responsive to emails and calls, she had done groceries shopping for us when we arrived, she was there promptly to meet us and was available throughout our stay to answer questions, provide restaurant recommendations, arrange taxi pick up to go to airport. The apartment is very clean, has everything you need, kitchen is fully stocked with appliances. Airconditioning works well in all bedrooms and other areas, plenty of light. Also it is on a very quiet residential street so there is no noise at night. We ended up taking taxi everywhere but there is a metro stop and bus stops very close by, there are stores to buy groceries and other items you might need. It is a few minutes from the beach and a beautiful area with many restaurants and bars - lively night life. There is a tourist bus that stops nearby and takes you all over the city as well. It is possible to walk from the appartment to the center of the city but it is not a short walk - not something you will want to do every day. Only thing I would note is that this appartment has pretty steep stairs and there is a guard rail only on one side so it is not the place for little kids/toddlers. For couples or families with older kids and especially if you want to be close to the beach - perfect place!"
