  • Barcelona Flat

"We loved the flat. It is large, has everything and is ideally located to subway. Perfect for 8. We would stay her again! We did not really cook but did not intend to. Seemed to have everything you'd need. STAY HERE!"

  • Great location; excellent owner

"My family of four stayed in Chelo's apartment for 4 nights. First of all, you will not find a more attentive and helpful owner than Chelo. She was fabulous to work with from the very beginning. Booking on-line always makes me nervous but Chelo is 100% trustworthy. We met both Chelo and her very sweet mother on our first night there. We did not have enough cash with us because our bank only let us withdraw so much on a daily basis, but she was very laid back about it and let us pay her the next day. The apartment was clean and ready for us including beds made and clean towels for everyone. The kitchen was well-equipped. It helped us save money, because we made several meals instead of eating out. The apartment is located in a very quiet neighborhood, yet it is close enough to many attractions such as Sagrada Familia so that we just walked there. Several options are readily available for groceries, fruits, coffee and baked goods, all within walking distance. We ran into some fellow Americans while on a tour who mistakenly rented an apartment in a very loud and busy part of town and they weren't very happy. You won't hear any neighbors at all in this apartment. We were able to wash our clothes in the washer. There is no dryer though so be prepared to hang your clothes out to dry, just like the locals do. Just a few minor suggestions to improve: there was wireless internet but it was very, very slow so perhaps update it; also the shower head might need to be cleaned or replaced as the water pressure was somewhat painful; lastly, the shower curtain might need to be washed or replaced. As I said, these are minor inconveniences only. Chelo was kind enough to reserve a cab for us for our trip to the airport. Be forewarned though, it costed 44 Euros for the trip, which seemed like a lot. Overall, a great stay in Barcelona!"

  • Grande Valencia 1 - Barcelona Beautiful Old World Charm

"What a fantastic property just 3 blocks from the Sagrada de familia and maybe a 20 minute walk to the Gothic Quarter. We were a group of 6 and had so much room to sleep, eat, and enjoy each others company. The property owners were very helpful at check in, and were able to help us with all our questions. Taxis in Barcelona are very affordable with 4 of us splitting 10 euros or less for most trips. Also, the people who run the Negre apartments live right there and know the best restaurants, including our new favorite A' Gianni a little Italian pizza place just a few doors away. We would highly recommend this property to our closest friends."

  • Bright, lovely; large terrace, modern kitchen/bath

"Beautiful apartment. Three large windows in kitchen, living room and master bedroom open onto the large sunny terrace overlooking the treetops of the playground below. (Entrance to playground is around the other side of the block.) Master bedroom is exactly as pictured, bright and welcoming, with large closet across one wall. You will love waking up in this room. Huge, very pretty hall bath has a good shower (over tub) with plenty of hot water. Modern kitchen has granite counters, flat top stove, microwave, nice refrigerator/freezer, pullout pantry, stainless steel sink with a built-in drainer and a drop-through to the trash. Nicely appointed apartment with enjoyable decorative touches throughout. Comfortable beds. Pergo-type floors in light wood. Very clean apartment. Bedroom at the rear is not as sunny or spacious and has only toilet and sink in the bathroom (no shower), but it does have two tall cabinets for clothing. Middle bedroom is single bed, spacious room. Four adults and one 5-yr-old fit perfectly in the apartment. We ate many meals on the terrace--lovely. Wonderful to have the full size washer and dryer. Many things are walkable--markets, metro, Passeig de Gracia, Casa Batllo, La Pedrera. This is a very lovely, centrally located apartment, clean, sunny and inviting, prettiest of the three apartments we rented in Spain during our trip. Gracious living. Highly recommended."
