Turkey Travel Tips

Seasons to Visit Turkey Vacation Rentals

In general, Turkey is a destination that can be visited all times of the year. There is a wide variety of attractions for visitors with a diverse range of interests. For those who plan on visiting Turkey’s beaches, the summer months are best. June and July are the hottest months of the year and often also the busiest tourist season. For those who want to combine sightseeing with enjoying some relaxation in the sun, the springtime is a good time of year to visit. The temperatures are a little milder and the countryside is particularly beautiful. Also since it's outside of the peak travel season, you can enjoy not having to line up at major tourist sites. For those who have an interest in cultural sightseeing, autumn is another good time of year to visit. Even though the days are shorter, the temperatures are still warm and mild. The season runs from September through October.

There are four main international airports providing access to Turkey. If you are traveling from North America, it is most likely that you will fly into Attaturrk International Airport in Istanbul.
