  • Comfortable Village House with Pool

"This semi-detached house in the village of Eyragues is ideally located for a couple or a family to explore the delights of Provence: Avignon, Arles, Nime, and Les Baux de Provence, are within an hour's drive. And Saint-Remy is only 10 minutes (7 Km) away. (But get there early, especially on a market day, because parking can be a hassle.) The house is rustic, clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The rooms, including the bedrooms, are large and well furnished. The pool is smallish, but is surrounded by a wall so one can swim is complete privacy. The center of the village of Eyragues is a short walk away and has all the amenities needed for daily sustenance (cafe's, restaurants, boulangeries, etc.) My wife and I stayed for two weeks in mid July and highly recommend this home, particularly for families with children."

  • Great location for a trip to Killarney

"Very comfortable house in a really good location if you are wanting easy access to Killarney town and the National Park look no further. House is very well equipped and the welcome from John and the groceries and wine were a really nice touch. Point to note is that the pictures show what is actually 2 semi detached houses...the garden is however not separated so for families with young children, as we were, this maybe a consideration. Perhaps for privacy and security (specifically young children) the garden could be partitioned? Overall an excellent property in a great location. Mark, Marie, Evie and Loretta (Leeds, England)"

  • LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

"The location in central Rome made it possible for me to walk to all major tourist attractions. Lots of restaurants, when I wanted to eat out. Convenient super market when I wanted to eat in. Since I was in Rome during the Christmas and the New Year season there was lots of neighborhood activity of musicians, magicians, etc. Wonderful, fun small shops in the area that was fantastic for window shopping or more. Internet access was excellent the entire 8 days I was in the apartment. There are lots of steps but I looked at them as step aerobics that enabled me to enjoy more gelato, pasta, and vino!"

Turkey Travel Tips

Seasons to Visit Turkey Vacation Rentals

In general, Turkey is a destination that can be visited all times of the year. There is a wide variety of attractions for visitors with a diverse range of interests. For those who plan on visiting Turkey’s beaches, the summer months are best. June and July are the hottest months of the year and often also the busiest tourist season. For those who want to combine sightseeing with enjoying some relaxation in the sun, the springtime is a good time of year to visit. The temperatures are a little milder and the countryside is particularly beautiful. Also since it's outside of the peak travel season, you can enjoy not having to line up at major tourist sites. For those who have an interest in cultural sightseeing, autumn is another good time of year to visit. Even though the days are shorter, the temperatures are still warm and mild. The season runs from September through October.

Visitors to Turkey Apartments

Turkey is still a relatively affordable travel destination and easily accessible from Europe and other parts of the globe. It is a modern country that is easy to get around in, making independent traveling both possible and pleasant. Turkey is a nation that has a diverse and interesting history. Many of the country’s attractions are ancient sites and ruins that tell the tales of the rise and fall of many empires. Museums showcase different aspects of the country’s culture and history. People who have an interest in this can enjoy browsing the artifacts and exhibits. Turkey is a great place if you enjoy markets. They are integral to the culture and the markets stock everything from food to carpets and household goods. You can enjoy bargaining for an item that catches your eye and browsing the many stalls at leisure.

Turkey Travel Attractions

Istanbul is a city of mosques, palaces and treasures of old. The historic old part of the city has several ancient and architecturally beautiful buildings. Several parts of the city are more modernized which give it a great cosmopolitan feel. There are many museums, baths and historic sites to visit. The Grand Bazaar and Spice Market are well worth a visit if you enjoy bargaining for items. The Hippodrome is another of Instanbul’s landmark attractions. Many of the magnificent old palaces are now museums and can be visited.

Turkey’s coastline is a place that can be explored in many ways. Trekking tours follow the coastline, stopping in at towns and villages along the way. Bus and train trips frequently follow this route. For those who enjoy sailing, you can explore the coast by cruising along it on a yacht. Private charters can be easily arranged and are a great vacation option for a group of friends. There are many beautiful beaches along the coast that attract sun lovers during the warmer summer months.

Getting to Turkey

There are four main international airports providing access to Turkey. If you are traveling from North America, it is most likely that you will fly into Attaturrk International Airport in Istanbul. From there, you can get a domestic flight on to your vacation destination. Other international airports are located in Sabiha Gokcen outside of Istanbul as well as in Izimir and Ankara, the country’s capital. If you cannot find a direct flight to Turkey from your home, you may consider looking into flights to any one of the major European air hubs. From there, you could get a regional flight or travel overland by road or rail to Turkey.
