  • Breathtaking!

"This paradise is not easy to find but once you come upon it you are awestruck! The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and Kay has not forgotten one single thing. The wrap-around deck looks out onto a peaceful lake just yards away through the pine trees. Spices, cooking oils, marshmallows for the fire pit, a bag of ice in the freezer, magazines, books, new set of pots and pans, horseshoe pit, sand pile including toys for kids, hammocks, tether ball, a pedal boat, a canoe, a fishing boat, pier, fishing poles, and a 2-car attached garage are some of the amenities! I could go on and on. We always rent log cabins in the Smoky Mountains and none have been this complete and up-to-date. The kitchen is outfitted with all new appliances. It even has a radiant convection cooktop range - which we had no idea how to work- but we do now. There is a full size washer and dryer as well. Finally...the cabin is gorgeous logs inside and beautifully decorated. Sparking clean. We are here as I write this, the last week of September and the leaves are spectacular! A black bear even walked across our driveway which made our week complete. I would recommend this very secluded paradise to anyone - unless you're looking for a mall. You won't find it here!"

  • Family vacation

"Great facility. Our family of 15 including married children and grandchildren rented two units with this one being home base. The facility was more than we expected. Nice furniture. Quiet surroundings. Close to bike paths and activities at SeaSide. The unit is 1/4 mile from the beach and the pool is on the way. The master with king bed/bath etc is on the second floor which might be an issue for some people but the bedrooms down stairs are great as well. One set of bunk beds were great for grandchildren."

  • Everything the ad says and MORE!

"We were absolutely thrilled with the condo. It was everything the ad said and more. I have never seen a kitchen better stocked than this. A truly delightful place to stay for our Maui holiday. Thank you for letting us "borrow" your condo Bill. So sad we couldn't get the unit for next Xmas."

  • EXCELLENT VACATION FOR REST AND RELAXATION. STAYED TWICE AND WILL RETURN EVERY CHANCE WE GET!!!!

"My party of 4 adults stayed here Sept. 27 - Oct 4, 2014. Upon entering the resort you are greeted by the friendly guardhouse. Your check-in is fast and pleasant. The condo itself is better than the pictures. It's nicely decorated and very clean. The beds were super comfortable, so comfortable that I slept like a baby every night. As a matter of fact, I'm going to try and find the same beds for my home. The distance to the beach is great; it's just a short walk across the parking lot and down the boardwalk. This is our second trip to the same condo and the owners continue to make the planning and payments a smooth transaction. We always stay at this condo because everything we need is there and we do appreciate the kindness of the condo owners. They go above and beyond what is expected. My family loves vacationing here. It's almost like you have your own private oasis. Like I said, this is our second visit and we've had the smaller pool off the boardwalk all to ourselves. We also enjoyed the inside pool the first day when we were rained out. Be sure and hit the huge hot tub every night before bed. You'll sleep like a baby. Too many amenities to mention. The beach is beautiful. White sands and the bluest of blue ocean waters. Breathtaking!!!! Enjoy your stay."

Top United Kingdom Travel Attractions and Activities

The United Kingdom is made up of four separate countries -- England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Each of these regions has its own wealth of attractions but there are a few things that they have in common. Throughout the UK, you will find ancient castles and ruins of former fortresses. Each of these has its own unique tale to tell. Many of the castles are still in use today, either as royal residences, museums or boutique hotels. Scotland and Northern Ireland in particular are known for their impressive and ancient castles.

The UK is a popular golfing destination; Northern Ireland and Scotland rank as two of the best golfing destinations. There is the famous St. Andrews Golf Course in Scotland where leading PGA tournaments are played each year. There are literally hundreds of other golf courses to choose from. In the cities, such as London and Edinburgh, there are many historical sites to visit. As the nation's capital London has a rich and detailed history. Here you can see the famous attractions of Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral and the London Tower Bridge. There is also the famous museum of waxworks called Madam Tussaud's where you can see famous personalities from around the world immortalized in wax.

Seasons to Visit the United Kingdom

The weather of the United Kingdom is characterized by rain, and a lot of it. The advantage of this is that the rural landscapes are perpetually green and very scenic. Winters are generally quite long and in the central and northern regions, snowfalls are not uncommon. Winter starts from mid-October and generally lasts until the end of April. Spring and autumn are usually quite short-lived. Summer is from June to August and daytime temperatures can get quite hot. On a sunny day, especially if it is on the weekend, you will see many of the locals out and about making the most of the good weather. Summertime is traditionally the peak tourist season and major tourist attractions can get very crowded. If you are willing to travel out of season and possible put up with a little bit of bad weather, you can benefit from some great travel deals.
