  • Family Friendly, Awesome Ocean Views!

"Our family of 6 loved our stay here. Highlights were the proximity and beauty of the ocean (steps away from the back patio), the WiFi(!) and spacious living areas. I appreciated that everything was very clean, and that there were beach toys and boogie boards for us to use during our visit. Michael, the home owner, went out of his way to help us when our key was delayed in reaching us. We will definitely come back again, and have recommended this rental to many friends already!"

  • The place I call home away from home

"I've been coming to Villa Espana for nearly 20 years. Obviously we rented almost every bouse on the property but definately have my own favorite, which number I wont disclose for purely selfish reasons, but you understamd, no? Easily 4 times a year we pack up the cars with food, kids, dogs and head down the border. It's a bit of a ride since we are in LA but every time is an adventure. We bring out friends here and our families. MY particular house is absolutely amazing especially new things that happen very nearly. Brand spanking fridge blew me away. WiFi password right there on the door. How cool is that? The rooms and bathrooms imaculately cleaned. All you need to bring is your own towels. Last Friday night we got there at 10pm, an hour later then planned and I literally started crying it was soo good to be back there. I consider it my home now. The prices are extremely low for staying in the house that is actually on the beach! Im feeling blessed everytime Im there. Little tips on what to bring: Towels/beach/bath. I always bring my own frying pan and a pot. Not all houses have BBQ on their patios, so plan on bringing one too. The local store Calimax is just up the street from the house. One can get anything from there but we are trying to stay loyal to the locals so we buy from them. The casas themselves are very authentic. My favorite, still not mentioning the number, has the most carefully hand picked decor that reflects the respect for the culture. Beds are comfy, the master bedroom has the most magnificent view!!!! Toilets are clean and stuffed with toilet paper. Overall, I love love love Villa Espana! Once had a problem with one rental, i addressed it and Boom! Now its all fixed and very pretty! Going back in mid May. Nancy! I need that house and about 3 more, the Russians are coming!!!!!!"

  • Beautiful home in great location

"The house, the location and country club were amazing. We had everything we needed or could ask for. The owner was very accommodating and ensured we we had the necessities. Location of the home was perfect for our stay and we all really enjoyed it. It is not too far from town yet far enough to get away. It was a nice and relaxing place to stay! Thanks!"

  • Exceeded our expectation, amazing place to stay.

"All I can say it's great. The management team is friendly. The panoramic view of the living room of the ocean and the shoreline is truly breath taking. Its great for families, the house is very spacious. The house is clean and the location is near everything. The deck upstairs has a view of the ocean and the bay, what an amazing place to party. Every bedroom has an ocean or a bay view. The beach is amazing, when the tide is in its still all beach. I took my daughter and her friends, they had a great time. Perfect for families. The ocean is very safe because of the pennisulas that flank the house and Todos Santos Island as a breakwater. We took long walks and rode our bikes."

Ensenada Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Esenada Vacation Rentals

Esenada is one of the premiere vacation destinations in the Baja California region. Miles of pristine coastline offer a wealth of activities and attractions. Many people come to enjoy the famous sunshine and beautiful beaches. Once there, they discover a wealth of other attractions that keeps them coming back year after year. If you think you'll enjoy exploring some of Mexico's culture and traditions, there are quite literally hundreds of museums and cultural places of interest to visit. Just north of Catavina you can view cave paintings that are believed to date back 600 and 1,000 years. Abstract shapes and pictographs at the site cover the walls and ceiling of the cave and are interesting to view. There are several ancient mission buildings near Esenada that date back to the late 1700s. The adobe ruins of these mission stations are great as photography subjects. Many have adjacent museums which provide insight into the history of the area.

If you enjoy wine, you will certainly enjoy visiting the many wineries in the area. Many are open for tastings and cellar tours. Guided wine excursions can also be arranged through a local tour operator. There are two national parks near Esenada. The larger of the two is the Parque Nacional Sierra De San Pedro Martir. The park is home to the Mexican National Observatory. Ideal for hiking , backpacking and wilderness camping, the park is a pristine wilderness area. The Parque Nacional Constitution de 1957 is located in the Sierra de Juarez. A feature of the park is the large scenic lake which is surrounded by rugged rock formations and pine forests. Just 22 miles south of Esenada is the La Bufadora. This incredible natural blowhole sprouts water almost 70 feet into the air. Whale watching is another popular pastime along the Baja coastline.

Travelers to Esenada Beach Houses

Esenada is a popular family vacation destination. The vacation homes are large and spacious which means that you can enjoy a vacation with your extended family or a group of friends if you like. There are plenty of activities and attractions to keep the kids entertained. Parents can enjoy some well-deserved rest and relaxation at the beachfront houses. The coastline has some incredible views; each afternoon, you can watch magnificent sunsets from the deck of your vacation home.

Getting to Esenada Resorts

Esenada is located in the northern part of Mexico, just 70 miles south of San Diego. For this reason, the vast majority of U.S. visitors simply drive to their vacation home in Esenada. There is a well-maintained highway that follows the Pacific coast which makes driving easy. Keep in mind that during peak holiday periods there can be delays at the U.S.-Mexico border. You also need to ensure you have all the correct documentation to enter and leave Mexico. Driving time from San Diego to Esenada is generally between two to three hours.

Best Time of Year to Visit Esenada

Esenada enjoys a warm climate all year long. This is one of the reasons that it is so popular as a beach vacation destination. The winter months are often the preferred season to travel as the temperatures are less scorching and there are cooling ocean breezes. The summer months are particularly hot but they still remain a favorite time of year for visitors to the area. Tropical storms can sometimes blow in from the Pacific during the late summer months. For many visitors, the best time of year to visit is considered to be between December and April.
