  • Wonderful for the entire family

"We were happily surprised by the setting of the villa, how clean and well appointed it was. The sunsets are gorgeous, waves impressive and the lawn areas surrounding the complex are very well maintained. We had to ask for the Jacuzzis to be heated up, but once they were, watching sunsets overlooking the ocean from the Jacuzzi was fantastic. We loved going to restaurants but also getting groceries and cooking "at home". Went surfing at K38 (a few minutes south), did walks on the beach, played ping pong, visited wineries, Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo, La Fonda... plenty to do. We also appreciated the large DVD collection and enjoyed watching a great movie each night, it was a true relaxing getaway."

  • Cozy Class Beachfront--with Security

"My mother and I stayed at this lovely home on the beach in La Mision, about 50 miles south of the US Border--down the baja. The home is so cozy with stone walls, persian-style carpet, and windows to the ocean, that I guess I'd describe it as Bohemian Luxury. The Mexican tile work in the bathrooms and kitchen is beautiful, and there are candles everywhere, but in a safe way. it is furnished with high quality antiques and mostly all wood products. the beds were wood framed and lovely. it was great for our dogs, as they couldn't get out and get lost, yet the beach was right there. my dog and I played fetch about 10 times, at least, each day. It was fully equipped right down to a cappuccino machine. It was so lovely I would love to keep it as my special secret so it would always be open for me, but that would be unfair and impossible. I had the privilege of meeting the owners, Michael and Amelia, and they are so bright, charming, and delightful, that it is no surprise why they have such a lovely home on the beach--1 mile south of La Fonda. people of their character always have the neatest places for rent."

  • Amazing house and location!

"This is a beautiful property! The parking is inclosed on property (open the drive gate wall and pull in!) and it makes it very easy to unload and load the car at the back door. Pulling all the way through you could get two cars in. The first thing we noticed that is not mentioned in the other reviews is once you open up the house the breeze coming through was amazing! The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped and we used it all. We cooked in most nights and it was fantastic! this house has all the amenities of home, Direct TV (master has a new flat screen), living room and one of the bedrooms. What I thought the pictures did not capture was the beautiful tile floors throughout and very nice and wide staircase to the master. 3/4 of the way up the stairs there are large windows looking out at the ocean and another deck off the left side of the house. I think outside of the location the best part of this house is the master bedroom; Stunning! Very large (it would be like a large suite in a nice hotel). It has a set of french doors that lead to an amazing deck that was great for our morning coffee and afternoon happy hour. We spent a lot of time on that deck watching the world go by on the beach. We brought my daughter and her friend, both 15 years old and they loved it and both did not want to leave. The house is everything plus more as the owner Linda states on the site. Although Linda does not mention on the site there were a few perks we took advantage of. One morning we had fresh tamales delivered to us for breakfast and they were awesome. I saw him delivering the day before and asked him if he would deliver to us the following morning. We also had firewood delivered as there is a little fire ring just out front on property in the sand. The beach is very family friendly and you step into the sand right off the main deck. The front area off the deck is like a private yard with a little fire ring, very nice. Horseback riding takes place on this beach and my family all went on a ride. We waved over Ricardo and he brought the horses right to the property line and off they went into the sunset! Once you come back from the beach there is an outside shower area on property with hot and cold water. Clay steps in sand that lead to the shower area. For a day at the beach their are Kayaks (2) beach chairs, lounge chairs for the family. Best of all is Linda the owner. VERY accommodating and is well liked!!! Everyone knows her and speaks very highly of her."

  • Beautiful House

"We brought two families each with high school children and had a great time. The kids loved the house, the beach and the pool. We could not get them out of the water. The adults loved the home, beach and pool as well. The house exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and beautiful. Everyone was comfortable and the owners were a pleasure to communicate with. The complex was beautiful as well and felt very safe. I highly recommend Point Break Villa and we will be coming back year after year."
