"Spent a week with my family at Sandcastle. The house is very spacious and comfortable. I love the grass area and the palm trees were spaced perfectly for my hammock. The seating area just above the beach is the best place to drink your morning coffee and watch the sunset.
The beach is rocky but that grass provided a great place to hang out and enjoy the view. The surf was not the best except the last day when a southern swell hit and provided some good head high waves. There are better surf spots within 15 minute drive north or south.
The house had everything we needed to prepare meals. I recommend bringing drinking water and most of the food you want to prepare. The stores close by are limited unless you want to drive about 10 miles north to Rosarito. Our meat at Puerto Nuevo was very disappointing at Ortega's. We really enjoyed our dinner at Splash which is just south of the house. The community of Mision Viejo is secure, relaxed and friendly. I would recommend this house."

"Casa Grande is a perfect house for family and friends getaway as it has all the amenities you may need. We were there with a special needs child and some elderly. Everyone had a great time. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful setting because the house is a little away from the town. Thank you Doug for being so helpful!"

"I was a little worried about going to Mexico. Heard stories about crime, drug cartels, corrupt police... Once I set foot into Las Gaviotas my worries washed away in the beautiful surf. Trips into the city also put my mind at ease. Felt perfectly safe and loved that we were in another country after only driving about 45 minutes out of San Diego. Casa del Bombero was AWESOME! We were there for a family reunion and all who stopped by to check the place out were impressed with how big and spacious it was. The deck is super large and views are perfect. It's situated very near clubhouse, shuffleboard, pool, and jacuzzi. You can sit out on the spacious deck and hear the waves crashing. Furniture is large and comfortable. Flat screens in living room and both bedrooms. Master bathroom is giant. The onsite manager was SO helpful and checked in with us a couple times to make sure everything was going well. There is a phone in the unit that gives you free access to calls to US. Free wireless! The permanent residents at Las Gaviotas are SO friendly! The only bad thing about Casa del Bombero is that your vacation will eventually come to an end and you'll have to leave... The day we left we were already making plans on how to get back there as soon as possible!"

"For our family vacation this was a perfect getaway! Home was very spacious and luxurious inside and out. The pool was amazing and the view was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this place and rent it again however it does take a lot longer than told to get your deposit back. It's been over 2 weeks going on 3 and we still have not got it so a little disappointing when your told 5 days."
