"I was a little worried about going to Mexico. Heard stories about crime, drug cartels, corrupt police... Once I set foot into Las Gaviotas my worries washed away in the beautiful surf. Trips into the city also put my mind at ease. Felt perfectly safe and loved that we were in another country after only driving about 45 minutes out of San Diego. Casa del Bombero was AWESOME! We were there for a family reunion and all who stopped by to check the place out were impressed with how big and spacious it was. The deck is super large and views are perfect. It's situated very near clubhouse, shuffleboard, pool, and jacuzzi. You can sit out on the spacious deck and hear the waves crashing. Furniture is large and comfortable. Flat screens in living room and both bedrooms. Master bathroom is giant. The onsite manager was SO helpful and checked in with us a couple times to make sure everything was going well. There is a phone in the unit that gives you free access to calls to US. Free wireless! The permanent residents at Las Gaviotas are SO friendly! The only bad thing about Casa del Bombero is that your vacation will eventually come to an end and you'll have to leave... The day we left we were already making plans on how to get back there as soon as possible!"

"Have to say I was nervous that there were no reviews for this rental until I saw the spot for guest comments. We rented for a long weekend and were glad we did. This place had everything we needed. We sat on the deck drinking coffee in the morning after our walk along the cliff. There is something about the ocean air that revives me. No need to entertain our teenage kids, they spent their time on the beach and surfed all day. The adults in our group spent a fun day in Ensenada (Guadalupe Valley) wine tasting. Another day we drove into Rosarito for some drinks, lunch and a little shopping. We cooked in every night and the kitchen was fully equipped but there are a few placed right down the road if you wanted to eat out. Sunsets were spectacular and when we left we wished we had another day or two. We will be back soon."

"My family and I truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. We loved the view from the balcony. We took a day trip to Ensenada where we ate some fresh seafood. And of course we couldn't pass up a drive to Puerto Nuevo to enjoy the lobster!
We would definitely rent this house again! Highly recommended! Great location, great layout, great view... What else could you ask for?"

"My friends and family just stayed at this house for 4 nights and did not want to leave. The house is absolutely beautiful. We did not want to leave. It is paradise across the border. All of us felt very safe the entire trip. Lobster town is very close and worth experiencing. We will definitely stay here again and cant wait to go back!"
