  • Amazing house and location!

"This is a beautiful property! The parking is inclosed on property (open the drive gate wall and pull in!) and it makes it very easy to unload and load the car at the back door. Pulling all the way through you could get two cars in. The first thing we noticed that is not mentioned in the other reviews is once you open up the house the breeze coming through was amazing! The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped and we used it all. We cooked in most nights and it was fantastic! this house has all the amenities of home, Direct TV (master has a new flat screen), living room and one of the bedrooms. What I thought the pictures did not capture was the beautiful tile floors throughout and very nice and wide staircase to the master. 3/4 of the way up the stairs there are large windows looking out at the ocean and another deck off the left side of the house. I think outside of the location the best part of this house is the master bedroom; Stunning! Very large (it would be like a large suite in a nice hotel). It has a set of french doors that lead to an amazing deck that was great for our morning coffee and afternoon happy hour. We spent a lot of time on that deck watching the world go by on the beach. We brought my daughter and her friend, both 15 years old and they loved it and both did not want to leave. The house is everything plus more as the owner Linda states on the site. Although Linda does not mention on the site there were a few perks we took advantage of. One morning we had fresh tamales delivered to us for breakfast and they were awesome. I saw him delivering the day before and asked him if he would deliver to us the following morning. We also had firewood delivered as there is a little fire ring just out front on property in the sand. The beach is very family friendly and you step into the sand right off the main deck. The front area off the deck is like a private yard with a little fire ring, very nice. Horseback riding takes place on this beach and my family all went on a ride. We waved over Ricardo and he brought the horses right to the property line and off they went into the sunset! Once you come back from the beach there is an outside shower area on property with hot and cold water. Clay steps in sand that lead to the shower area. For a day at the beach their are Kayaks (2) beach chairs, lounge chairs for the family. Best of all is Linda the owner. VERY accommodating and is well liked!!! Everyone knows her and speaks very highly of her."

  • Beautiful House, Beautiful Location

"This was my first time staying in Las Gaviotas. I've taken several trips to Baja, and typically stayed in hotels along the coast - but after staying here, there is no rhyme or reason I will be staying elsewhere on my next trip. The house is BEAUTIFUL, and VERY spacious. We only had 6 people, so we weren't even able to take advantage of many of the amenities the house has to offer, such as the 2nd kitchen and 2nd living room that was located downstairs. The owners were very nice and extremely responsive to all questions I had before booking, making the booking process hassle-free. This private community has 24-hour guards on site, which provides peace of mind for a safe and comfortable stay. Our small group took full advantage of the pools on site, hot tub, shuffle board, beach volleyball court, and most note worthy.... the private wave. The house has an unbeatable view and had 2 separate tables on the patio that looks over the water. I will certainly be staying in this private community the next time if down there. If I have a group, I will be in this house, and if there are just two or three of us, I will certainly be staying in one of the smaller properties on this estate. I would highly recommend this particular property for large groups, and family getaways."

  • Picture Perfect Weekend!

"Villa Nirvana is just what the name implies -- Nirvana! We met another couple and shared the house, which is HUGE! Tons of common space in the enormous living room, den and "maid's quarters" so you never feel like you're bumping into anyone else or can't get away to find your own space if you just want to "chill." Each bedroom is set up as a master suite with its own bathroom - all of them very large so no one has to feel that they've drawn the short straw and is getting stuck with lesser accommodations than someone else. Kitchen was well stocked; laundry room in the house with detergent supplied; hair dryers in bathrooms. Every shower had shampoo and conditioner in case you don't bring your own. The Wifi and TV (a dish??) worked as advertised. Our group didn't golf, but the views from each room and the patio made me want to take up the sport! The golf resort/hotel/restaurant/bar is a short walk or drive. Tons of places to walk/hike around the gated development - felt super safe the entire time. You can also rent bikes at the hotel if your not a golfer. Peaceful enclosed front patio with a pond and fountain was the perfect spot to start the day with a cup of coffee unless you wanted to sit in the lounge chairs facing the ocean with the golf course below. As for the border crossing - the construction that had been going on (seemingly forever) is done and the crossing north only took about 20 minutes for us - a big improvement from before. Highly recommended!"
